Th customer service you talked to could be very misleading... which bank is going to let you owe them forever at one-time 6.99% ?
Langsung no logic
*
You can't really hutang them forever, you will need to pay 5% monthly, bank are not stupid...

quite confuse with ur statement is is Non-Bumi or Non-Muslim...

i think both Non-Bumi and Non-Muslim can apply any Islamic related financial product.

Added on May 31, 2012, 2:07 pm

if i not mistaken only for person with income <RM24k/year cannot have more than 2 CC. But if you see the Application Form it state that any person with <24k can apply with condition after approved, you must cancel one of the CC that you own.
*
Those with <RM24k/year is not allow to hold any credit card, those who income in between 24k<= X <= 36k only allow to hold credit cards not more than 2 issuers

Anyway there is a 3% charges for 0% BT, which it doesn't really a 0%... it is a 3% fix interest BT

QUOTE(uhlaw @ Nov 22 2012, 01:37 AM)
That means if I choose pay back in 6 months, the only charges that I bear is that 0.5%? Or it's 0.5% + 3.0%?
*
0.5% per month, in other words it is 6% per annum interest rate for continuous 6 months. the up front 3% only applies to 0% 12 months plan

Citi got 0.99 for 12 month bt. Be it new to bank or existing customer.
For existing u will need to apply a 2nd card to entitle this promo so the only processing fees is the rm50 gst for 2nd card.
*
Additional info for this BT, this BT will expired on 31th DEC 2012. Very good deal ...0.99% per annum

Any early settlement ?

It is per annum, that's why it is a very good deal. This BT only open for newly registered card regardless existing or new customer.

I called up Citibank.... no such BT offer of the 0.99% per annum, they have 9.9% per annum (12-month installment)
*
Because you are not entitled, you need to register a new card before this BT open for you. Last time I called to CS and ask about it, they won't tell you how to get yourself entitle but just telling you are not entitled. You can check with Citibank KIOSK at any shopping center, they are more willing to tell you how this works.

Unless a separate BT account number is created, right ?
*
Yes, I can confirm this. I printed my CCRIS report 1 month ago, all BT that created a new 16 digits account number will show on the report.

I think THIS for NEW Approval Cardholder only hmm.gif
*
It is for new and existing card holder as well. If you are an existing card holder of Citibank, you just need to apply for additional card to enjoy this BT. OMG I had 4 Citibank CC in my pocket now!

one question. this kind of "new" cardholder rate, is it will last forever or for limited time?
*
Should be limited time i guess, this 1% BT from citibank introduced on OCT 2012 and said to be end 31 DEC 2012 but seem like other ppl still able to apply...so this BT will last forever? we don't know, haha.

need some serious help here. Which BT do you think i should take (around 40k)  with 0% or good promo ? so far Ambank looks good bcos of the damn free 50% TV and Macbook Air  but i find it so damn hard to get BT information from the banks webpages
*
To enjoy this promo, u need to sign for 3 year BT with them, I don't really think it is a good deal as their interest rate are high and it is not a reducing balance interest rate
