I plan to do BT from UOB to MBB on Plan C - 12 mths, 3% fee, 0% interest/mth, Min - RM 1k per application as I only had UOB and MBB CC.

Is this plan good? If my UOB statement is RM2860, can I apply for BT of RM3000?

Thanks

MBB require you to provide your statement. Don't think they'll allow you to over BT what's more that stated in statement.

Public Bank BT application
12 June : Send BT application by email
16 June : Received SMS of BT approved / Shown in online transaction
?? June : Payment to AEON (Total working days: ??)

17 June : Send BT application by email
19 June : Shown in online transaction
?? June : Payment to AEON (Total working days: ??)
23 June : Payment to OCBC (Total working days: 5)
23 June : Payment to MBB (Total working days: 5)

Seems only PBB->AEON is late... maybe due to cheque instead of giro...

Because i need to BT from Bank A + Bank B to meet min 1k per BT.
Bank B statement (<RM1K) not yet out when I've done the 1st BT..
*
confused?
u intend to use bank A's statement as bank B's statement? sure cannot.
if only bank A + bank A should be ok.

last they informed me, the main reason for statement is not for the amount but to double check the credit card number and bank.

alternative, instead of statement, print out the bank B's credit card summary page (with outstanding amount and credit card number) and the page must have bank B's logo there. then they can process.

Who said anything about paying in full early with my money.

BT lumpsum from Public Bank to AEON. e.g. RM6k
And Re-BT the Public Bank monthly outstanding to AEON

Clearly some people lack imagination and I've said too much.  doh.gif
*
I do BT a lumpsum RM5k (so called payment in advance) from AEON to PBB to get the RM238 part of the RM388 online campaign.
Den I BT back the PBB monthly installment back to AEON.
Can free up the cashflow but pnly temporary as one need to payback sooner or later and therefore, one need to control the usage else sure die hard later on...

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 26 2014, 03:15 PM)
The PBB BT plan to get the RM238 is 12-month with interest, right ?
*
Nope. It's 24 months with 5% interest.

QUOTE
4.2 RM238 Cash Back on Balance Transfer or Flexipay plan transactions
To qualify for the RM238 Cash Back, the Qualified Cardmember must obtain :-

i. a one-time approved Balance Transfer or Flexipay plan of RM5,000 and
above in a single transaction within the first 2-months from the card approval
date; and

ii. the Balance Transfer or Flexipay plan must be for a 24-month tenure based
on the current interest rates.
Basically the RM238 cashback to is to offset the RM250 upfront interest, meaning one just pay only RM12 upfront interest for RM5,000 / 24 months. Technically, it ain't a "cashback" but a special rate for 24-months BT but my main objective is to loosen up the cashflow a bit so it fits me fine especially when it only costs me RM12 extra...

Anyone BT from HLB To AEON before?

My AEON BT approved on 19/6.
Cheque send out on 23/6
HLB supposed to received on 24/6.

But until now, HLB does not reflect any amount  cry.gif
*
Chill ~ The BT form itself stated 15 days.
If you're anxious, call AEON ask them check for you did HLB banked-in the cheque or not.
They can provide you with the cheque no. etc so you can liase with HLB yourself if you want...

The payment reflected yesterday(30/6). Total ~12 days from my BT approved date (19/6).

Will i kena interest? My due date is on 27/6..  sad.gif
*
sure will kena late payment interest ~
the golden thumb is u r sure that the bt is unable to go thru before due date, pay the minimum urself first.
at least won't kena ccris and late payment interest.

u may call hlb asking them to waive off the late payment interest by giving reason they took long time time to clear the cheque so it's not ur problem but theirs. so they cannot penalty u for their fault.

how to know if i kena interest? check HLB connect or wait for statement?

late payment maybe i will not kena because on the due date, i pay the min amount using CDM.
*
if got pay min amount then will be no late payment.
about the interest, it's calculated daily but only a few days won't cost much.
not sure hlb when will reflect in statement but just call the customer service and find out.
if got then ask them to waive.

1st of all, I am also quite new to BT. My explanation might wrong.
Balance transfer means you transfer CC debt from Bank A to Bank B.

If I understand your meaning well, you got some outstanding balance in Aeon CC.
Assuming your debt is on Aeon CC, you want to transfer to Maybank. U need to have maybank CC 1st. So u apply BT from Maybank to transfer Aeon CC debt to it.

Most of taikor here just BT for 0% interest. They are cash rich, they just want to temporarily park their money elsewhere to earn some interest while enjoying 0% BT for 6 months.

Currently 0% BT just Aeon and Public Bank which means if you transfer any CC debt from other bank to Aeon/Public, you will entitled 6 months 0% interest.

I hope it clears your doubt.
*
BT to AEON will also earn points which normally aren't eligible using other banks.

Glad to know. Thank you.

This give me a reason to apply the card. I assume you also getting Aeon Watami right?
*
Email the same form smile.gif
They are quite fast with BT. Email morning they call evening or the next day.

Think most of us here got watami for the 3% cashback.

I did not spend alot. Mostly 1-1.5k per month. Had been using M2Amex and OCBC.
I don't think I can fully utilize the 3% cashback for watami as they exclude BT from that.
That's why I might be considering normal Aeon Gold card, at least got free access to airport lounge. hahaha..

By the way, I checked my PBB just now. Surprisingly they had already did the BT from my MBB and outstanding balance now become 1666.66. And as expected, they did not even bother to inform me my application had been success. LOL..

But my MBB had not receive any payment. Are PBB using IBG transfer or cheque facility?
*
IBG.

See the old posts:-

PBB payment to AEON - Cheque (Total working days: 8)
PBB payment to OCBC - GIRO (Total working days: 5)
PBB payment to MBB - GIRO (Total working days: 5)

Need a few visits to petrol station then as I believe you can't pump 12x one shot due to limit set per day.
And total visits will consume > RM1.20 petrol liao.  laugh.gif

Then the previous forumer will face really "malu" situation when being asked "What was your last transaction?". Answer "A-hem... Pump RM0.10 petrol at BHP..."  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

No need reply. I always kena but just tell them can't remember and they will ask another question instead.

guys, need advice here:

I would like to BT from PBB to AEON, but the statement for PBB will only available on 25/26th, and I will be traveling oversea on 25th for 2 weeks. BT amount is around RM1800. Any idea how I manage to do the BT before i depart?

Did anyone try if PBB can release the statement earlier upon requested?

they accept printscreen of ur internet banking displaying bank logo, name, credit card no. and o/s amount.
