Received a call from PS about 6 months 0% BT program. She emailed me the form for BT application.

But she also mention about submitting my CC statement for it to approved.

I normally pay promptly for my CC but since now someone offered 0% BT was thinking why not.

So question is:

1. Is CC statement a must? From the form it seems it just request for the amount to be transferred. If I were to submit CC statement, the amount will be less than my total outstanding amount as I always only pay on due date.

eg :

Statement amount : 1500
Outstanding amount : 2000

Can I ask to transfer RM2000 instead or only based on statement amount?

2. Let's say for Maybank2card Amex. How do I fill up the form as the numbers sequence are different.

Thanks in advance as I'm quite inexperienced on this.

Normal Visa & Master card number XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

But Amex is XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXX

So how do I fill it inside the form?

For those who wish to apply SC BT for 0% 6 months, you can call to SC CS straight and ask for it.

But the CS told me that it is applicable for card less than 6 months old only. Those longer than that can perhaps try their luck.

Another thing is I just check my BT approve and there is an account inside my online account.

So when can I expect them to transfer the money to the banks I applied BT for? Thanks

I don't understand UOB balance transfer statement.

It written there 3000 (my full BT amount). But isn't it like just 500 per month. And the min amount to pay is RM150.

So can I just pay RM150 for 5 months then clear it off during the last month?

Or I have to split myself equally which is 500 per month.

Currently the SC BT I had help me split already and I only require to pay that statement amount.

For UOB BT, the BT amount is not divided into monthly installment.

If it's the 0% BT, you need to pay the 5% minimum PLUS no retail charges to swipe.

AND You must pay the full outstanding amount on the last day of the BT program (not based on Statement Due Date)
To know your last day, call the CS.
If you paid earlier, you get early settlement fee, if you pay later, you get Finance Charges (waiveable)

I don't really understand the quote part.

Does it mean that I only have to pay the minimum amount for the BT and clear my full retail statement (the one which swipe using the card)?

Called CS is the best solution.

My experience is I faxed to them. No respond within 2 working days. Then I emailed to the general CS email address, asked them help me forward to related department. Then they did help and reply me within 2 working days. Then after they reply, new BT account was created in cimbclicks in the next working day.

can give me the email address then?

But I think in regardless whether you have negative or positive funds in your CC, as long you withdraw money from it, it's consider cash advance and will incur the cash advance fees and interest.
