anyone did BT with CIMB for 0% interest for 6 months?

How much need to pay to avoid any interest charged if I did BT on RM6000?

Should I pay RM1000 (1/6) or RM300 (5%) for first month statement?
*
You can pay 5% for Month #1 to #5... and paid the balance in Month #6 (all before the Statement Due Date)

Now this is interesting.

Please bear with me and help me understand further.

Card 1: Maybank 2 Card
Card 2: Aeon Gold

Say i spent 2k on M2C, i can do BT to my Aeon Gold and how does the repayment work for 0%?

Basically delay the whole payment while you can earn interest with FD or whatever investment? shocking.gif
*
For AEON BT program, the amount RM2000 will be divided by 6 months : RM333.33 per month.
Each month this amount RM333.33 will appear as acharge in your AEON statement.
Failure to pay your CC statement on time before Due Date, you will be charge late interest of 18% p.a.

So basically, it makes the amount similar to 0% EasyPayment Installment.

If you can make more money with your RM2000, that's good.

lol ya i suppose the banks are betting that you will spend the extra cash. So basically i can just BT all my credit card usage to AEON and get away with interest free instalment. notworthy.gif

And i read that i do get points for BT rite? rclxm9.gif
*
For AEON you get 1 point per RM1 BT.
In the above example, you get 333 points for 6 months.

Guys need some advise

My CC payment is due on 16th July, counting today that is about 10 working days only. Worth the gamble?

M2K BT to AEON
*
May not make it... AEON is very slow.
My personal experience: mine managed to squeeze thru..... there's 1-2 days grace from MBB before Interest sets in (Not with HLB)

i tried to call CS last time, the CS told me there is 1-2 grace day for late payment charge
but the interest charge will kick in and will have no grace day
i not sure if this is correct or not
*
Which bank's CS did you ask ?
How would AEON know about other banks's grace period ? AEON CS don't even know their own product very well.

Dear all,

I have an interest free installment plan with UOB of 3 years. Would it be possible if I do balance transfer to another bank while maintaining the same payment per month for 3 years?

Anybody got idea how this will work?

I got Balance transfer and Retail transactions outstanding on my statement, If I had to make payment, which one of it will offset first?

e.g.
BT - RM1000
Retail transactions - RM50

Payment RM200

Want to avoid unnecessary interest charged. :S
*
Whichever transactions which carries the larger Interest Rate. Best to reconfirm with your bank.
Is this UOB ?

Want to ask about BT of Maybank CC to Aeon.

Card type: Maybankard 2 MasterCard
Cardholder name:
Total credit limit:
Last payment amount:  RM1,500.00
Last payment date:  15 July 2013
Minimum payment amount:  RM0.00
Outstanding balance:  RM426.91
Statement balance:  RM1,501.92

I BT RM1500 while the statement balance is 1501.92. this means the payment is done right? But statement balance still display RM1501.92?
*
Maybank's Statement Balance updates once a month on Statement Date. It will never turn to RM0.00
Last Payment Amount shows the last payment made by AEON on 15 July 2013
You still have to pay RM1.92 to avoid interest charges on this outstanding amount sweat.gif sweat.gif

I don't understand UOB balance transfer statement.

It written there 3000 (my full BT amount). But isn't it like just 500 per month. And the min amount to pay is RM150.

So can I just pay RM150 for 5 months then clear it off during the last month?

Or I have to split myself equally which is 500 per month.

Currently the SC BT I had help me split already and I only require to pay that statement amount.
*
For UOB BT, the BT amount is not divided into monthly installment.
If it's the 0% BT, you need to pay the 5% minimum PLUS no retail charges to swipe.

AND You must pay the full outstanding amount on the last day of the BT program (not based on Statement Due Date)
To know your last day, call the CS.
If you paid earlier, you get early settlement fee, if you pay later, you get Finance Charges (waiveable)

------------

I don't really understand the quote part.

Does it mean that I only have to pay the minimum amount for the BT and clear my full retail statement (the one which swipe using the card)?

Strongly suggest not to swipe the UOB for retail, if you have BT on the card... Keep It Simple

Maybe because it's my second time to do BT with AEON... maybe first time takes much longer.
Not sure if you can process BT at the same time as CC application.... go over and ask.
