15+ years ago when budget was on the run, i still remember my mom (yes mom) used to lay tiles on all three bedrooms without prior experience. And heck the outcome was crap haha. cement all over, uneven surfaces, misalignment of tiles, wrong cutting dimensions etc etc... it served a good lesson for us to find someone reliable to do these.
with proper knowledge i think its do-able, but it will take a super long time to finish.
I only know one friend did that in Perth Australia, took him 2 years plus.
I know he is a mechanical engineer, and got help weekend from his church friends.
Gosh... I presume he is doing a full renovation on a double storey house. But seriously, most Western people prefer to do renovation on their own property

Back 15+ years ago, yes, I do agree there are lack of information. But nowadays we got google and youtube and check out a how to lay a tiles
