To me, i don't really care what other people think of which tablet i'm using, i'm not going to show off "Hey check it out, my 3rd gen ipad, you jelly?"

Noo, i'm not like that  if people asked,  i would tell them that it's the 3rd gen ipad, that's it 

Yes, of course u can see the diff...as i said before the new ipad reproduced 99% acurate color reproduction..

haha..i am also in dilemma in this matter ipad2 or new ipad...

i already compare my both of my frd new ipad and ipad 2..

i would say is really hard for u to actually see the retina display just by looking at it. i found 1 thing can be really obvious to test out the retina display by looking or reading at comic. here u will notice the difference.

ipad 2= cool colour
new ipad = warm colour...

i dun think we should label it as yellow tint on the screen.

i guess all coming generation for eg: current 4s and new ipad are on warm colour...

A5 and A5X basically giving u the same speed but different graphic performance...

I only own an iPad 1 now. Due to price slash on iPad 2 n it also provides good deal, I was tempted so make me in dilemma now.

In brightness wise, iPad 2 is definitely brighter.

But in other sense, we should also consider,

WHY would we wanna choose the older technology over the new technology? Rm300 not a really small figure but is not big.

I guess I would probably stick to new iPad, if for those who was in dilemma as well, I would like to share one personal experience as this play a big part for me to decide...

I saw one of my frd which is already own new iPad put a multi vibrant color as wallpaper n this show u the beauty of retina screen...

N again, If u guys purchase
iPad 2 = u might satisfied with everything u own in it at the moment and might regret later as new iPad user getting more at ur surroundings.

New iPad= pay additional n will not have te regret feelings as u r owning the most advanced iPad yet.

I also believe their upgrade will have their reason. I also tellig myself tht believe in new tech.

When more retina apps are out, I guess myself and those who decide to stick wit ipad2 will regret like hell later....

I'm posting with my new iPad. To those without it - you're missing out. That's fine though, if you can stand missing out. I can't.

i just got to play around with the new ipad yesterday at IT Hypermart. They put the new ipad for demo and is selling ipad2...talk about misleading marketing. LOL...

Anyway, I was passingby and I caught a glimpse of the ipad2 on display. Immediately, I realize it is different. The screen is very sharp. So I play around with it. After some verification, this is definitely the new ipad. The screen is awesome. Those who can't see the difference really should stick with watching VCD movies. With all the pros and cons people are talking, the only reason I see to upgrade from ipad2 to new ipad is the screen. If you read a lot on your ipad, the screen will make big difference.

Those from ipad1 or new to ipad (no puns intended), should get it if money is not a problem. You want to save money, then get android tablets from china. Those are not really that bad either. Like the cough**Teclast a10t**cough.

Anyway, nothing wrong with some people not going to change from ipad2 to new ipad. For some, the screen does not justify the change. I agree because I am not changing from my ipad2 to new ipad. Just don't say there are no difference with the screen. Now that is a bit ignorant.

My reason: too early to upgrade to the new iPad cuz I got my iPad2 in middle of January this year.

I got my iPad2 right after it's launched last year. Opted for 64GB 3G model becoz i needed the storage and also AGPS and 3G.

Never regretted getting this model as I did not get ipad 1 when it first launched and as iPad's lifecycle is 1 year i decided to wait for iPad2 since it's already midcycle when i decided to buy.

I'd kill to get my hands on the retina display because coming from iphone 3GS to 4, i know the difference between retina and non-retina. But this time i m not going for the new iPad because i still think iPad2 is sufficient for me. To me new iPad is just like 4S (and i do own a 4S). Once the novelty factor wears out, it's just another iPad or in 4S case, another iPhone. (I don't even talk to Siri as much as i used to).

The reasoning is simple. You hold iPad2 in your hand and you don't have new iPad to compare to, then it's just an iPad. Similarly, you have new iPad and you don't have iPad2 to compare with, it's still just an iPad.

Unless you hold both of them together all day long then you will maybe you will awe yourself again and again lah hehe.

So what i m trying to say is, if you have the dough, get the new iPad. If you really want the new iPad, get the new iPad. If you can't live without the new iPad, get the new iPad.

But if you are still trying to come up with a justification on whether or not  to upgrade, then don't.

Few more 'months' down the road, a 'new' new iPad will come along with better specs. 4G LTE will be available in Malaysia. More apps will be optimized for retina display.

At that time, an upgrade will be justifiable. Your wife will be happier (instead of nagging you everyday why you need a new iPad) and maybe that time you will think it is money well spent

i skipped ipad2, i guess thats a lot of improvement between ipad1 and ipad3.seems worth it

Sold my ipad2 upgrade to iPad 3,really worth it feel more smooth, Internet connections much faster and no overheat problem anymore

i bought an ipad 2 right after the price slashed...so far no regret....love the simplicity and fluency of the whole ios...i did saw the screen on the new ipad and i hav to admit tat it looks nice but still not really worth the upgrade from ipad 2 to new ipad...the screen looks ok only when u look at the home screen but right after u open photo and look into it, tat's when the screen truly shine...i would hav gotten the new ipad if it had launched earlier but i din regret getting an ipad 2 for rm300 cheaper...
