Actually it is wrong to blame proton for the delay since they have never promised any date. As such, there is no delay at all. The 6th April I believe is from the leaked memo (which is not proven authentic).

anyway I've asked my friend who works at Proton and he said the target timeframe is 2nd week of April.

QUOTE(Carmarlo @ Apr 5 2012, 01:05 AM)
I love to read this part

"Speaking of noise, this is one area that Proton has made great strides with the Prevé. The CFE variant was pleasingly quiet at high speeds, although the IAFM versions threw up quite a racket when the engines were worked. Nevertheless, it was impressive to note that other sources of noise, namely the tyres and wind were impressively muted. "

Well done !

Reading the funtasticko site, it stated that the fuel consumption is 8.2L/100KM... but on the spec sheet it was 6.5L/100KM. Is that a typo ? hoping that the FC on the spec sheet is true.

Again this statement caught my eyes... and very happy..

QUOTE
There was something that I did not notice and Proton gets a huge pat in the back for it – it was the noise levels, or lack of it. Proton must have packed the Prevé with so much insulation that the volume of the road, wind and the CVT-whine have been lowered to near mute. I peeked at the speedometer and got caught off guard – the Prevé managed to remain hushed even when driving over the speed limit.

Job well done indeed !!!

All the features mentioned here, have been done by Mercedes more than 10 years ago. Initially, I though japanese is quicker to introduce advance feature and how wrong was I.

The follow me home light
The quick tap on signal
The auto steering adjustment
The memory seat
The parktronic
The auto power window using remote
The ambient light

and so many other features were there in mercedes 10 years ago.

one feature I like the most on the mercedes car is wind down the window before entering the car by remote.... Its very useful in hot weather country like Malaysia.

Btw, I'm planning to trade in my E240 (W211) for Proton Preve.....
