i am reading this thread
http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?showtopic=102259 to gauge the cfe engine.. seems like there is quite a number of issue ppl r reporting. abs module and cvt got sounds when hit bump and also something about (ocv valve, one way valve, then something about oil leakage from the vvt system) <- i group the last one is because its all the same issue but no one really knows the real cause Added on March 23, 2012, 3:34 amwow. there seems to be a guy in autoworld call kristof that works at punch. he is answering all the questions ppl have about the gb. he himself is driving a bold.. by his english i think his not local. QUOTE(turbocharged @ Mar 23 2012, 09:34 AM) no really lo. same case seems to apply to bold. like their leaking oil issue is a first batch problem. only the 2012 batch is ok. but like the one way valve issue is seems to be still no general recall. they only now begin to investigate and alto they found they problem, it seems like its not a general issue and was cause by the over tightening of the valve. but fixing it requires you to do something like a top overhaul where you have to bukak the top part to access the vvt area. |

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Mar 23 2012, 11:51 AM) that is why, my inspira will b my last proton. the sounds is something that can be fixed, no?even touch inspira suspension then have sounds, imagine engine. for me if the issue can be fixed with warranty i am ok with it. i dont expect everything to be perfect like most ppl... QUOTE(ckk125 @ Mar 23 2012, 12:08 PM) haha..some can fix, some not. mine is one of those whose sounds cant be known. ic. probably a bushing issue. its correct that even with warranty its not easy to solve such issue because they are hard or almost impossible to diagnose. sometimes such sounds will go away after the bush start to wears down more.the worse thing bout it is that the sound fluctuates, sometimes it is there, sometimes it isnt, which makes it very tricky to solve. At least go for inspira, drivetrain is a proven one. this sounds abit like the dog bone issue that waja used to have. after a while thru trial and error ppl found out the source and know already wat to do. Added on March 23, 2012, 1:12 pm QUOTE(kiapreve @ Mar 23 2012, 12:24 PM) my wife own a SAGA BLM year end 2008, sometimes i could smell some petrol smell from the interior, not sure whether is this due to petrol leaking issue? the gear thing you should check it out. but the petrol smell issue i've heard from other cars as well actually. again lo. thru trial and error see how other ppl solve it. Furthermore, when the car put on "N" at the traffic light and step on the brek, i could hear some minor "dak dak dak" volume at the gear panel. So far, i still no time to bother on this issue. in any case i kindda expect the QC of proton to produce all this small2 nagging issue. after a while i stop feel surprise anymore. as longs its not a critically fatal flaw.. like i say. im ok with it... I was bored, so i play around with paint. i always hated how they design the rear lamp. so i hoping that aftermarket accessories will come out with something like this:
http://www.newpages2u.com/images/130855070...b084e338038.jpg an "extension of sort" that has the same color as the rear light (of cuz not like the one above)... i f'ing hate the one in the link above, but too bad its the only one example i can think of right now. i think there is something similar for myvi and few mpv's also. cant recall... anyway here is my idea. Original: version 1.. Audi A4 style version 2.. Audi TT style both also i like This post has been edited by WhitE LighteR: Mar 25 2012, 01:42 AM |

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 25 2012, 02:08 AM) Yea if it is a properly installed, functional member of the combi light then it looks good. i still can accept if its just a reflector. i think it will be quite hard to make it as a functional light without drilling a hole and rewiring back to the existing module But if it's one of those reflectors pasted on the horizontal trim... |

too bad that the VT3 is almost at its limit liao with this engine. not much room to upgrade engine performance... so smart of them to limit consumer this way to make sure they dont do anything stupid...
