Hi have browse thru some of the pins, but have doubts understanding the following:
1) since my package is without modem, can anyone suggest a realiable modem that is reasonably priced.
2) what else do i need? special wires or the modem comes with it? splitters?
thanks

You should go to computer shop and ask them to recommend for you.

QUOTE(kb2005 @ Dec 8 2005, 10:44 AM) You should go to computer shop and ask them to recommend for you. that answer may be too obvious, but i agree with you since they may have the latest gadgets. But shop around 1st, look for the best bargain.

Buy the Aztech DSL-600EU package RM135 something more or less, comes with all the necessary items for your connection. Afterthat you may want to think of a wireless router or going wireless if need be and have the budget.

i bought DSL600EU with RM124 (can get RM120 actually) in Penang PC Fair. So u can try to bargain for this price. Yep!, prices come down gradually and in different locations. It was like 150-160 when 1st released. Just quoting an average price. There are those all in one modem/wireless and other options to look at the same time. Pros & cons..well all discussed in this forum.

What exactly is this 66 package again? 512/256k unlimited without modem? Why not just pay an extra RM10 and get 1024/384k ?

One can always upgrade according to needs of subscriber who knows best!. I've many friends on Rm66 package primarily because of minimal use..i.e. email and occasional surfing, nothing more..

Getting Started

In my point of view, Dlink is good. For normal user, just for downloading and surfing. I think 512 package is more than enough.
