for me timenet is doing a good job so far..
i have no complaint at all..very very very seldom breakdown... infact like once in a blue moon.. their customer service will attend to u stright away not like streamyx.. u can wait and wait and wait still no ppl attend to u i am using homenet 256.. can say not bad at all... i can play w3 without any lag. dl stuff also ok le... for a 256 i can get 30kbps during the night for me la.. i not sure about others.. of couse if u want speed.... then u can consider streamyx but then their service that they are providing i not sure le.. if u want reliability then u can think of timenet... killerboy,
Thanks man. Actually, my condo comes with Time Infra. 3 choices for me. Jaring Wireless, Webbit and Nethome. I had connection problem with Jaring Wireless(old apt). I am still prefer wired technology. Then I will go for Time. Thanks for the input. Anyone else willing to share some info. Thank again:) |

Prasys,
I believe so. For the customer support time is the best so far. All the ISPs are the same. It depend the reliabitily and infra. For end users, they use QOS to shape our traffic. That's why they have commercial package. They have bigger trunk go out even though we are sharing the same network. Money comes first!!!! anyway, thank prasys. |

I have to agree with you. Bear in mind , even at slower speeds..They allow p2p , which is a plus point...compared to Jaring Wireless (even you can download at speeds up to 200Kb/s , and sometimes 0Kb/s...you can't use BitTorrent)

Hi all,
I think wireless technology across the WAN link still new. You guys have to wait for it. Also, wireless problem is very subjective. We can't really tell what's going on? We might conn by customer support Luckily, my condo got HomeNet(time). Yahooo!!!D |

Yeah. I will go for it. That's ROCK. Really appreciated your input man. BTW, how long it's going to take to activate it(ur case)? According to Time, 14 days. I might apply upfront before I move in. |

QUOTE d FUSION package is nice 3mb for corporate account is more than enough. They shape our traffic. Corporate is allowed even hit more than that (FOC). However it's not gurantee. Our network(home) is best effort basis. Even they are using the same trunk to go out. Also why you need 10 gig.reli got 10Gbps ah?? |

a lot things i want to say about time.net.....
they have good custumer service, custumer email always being reply and fast... have a lot innovative idea ....the 1st broadband phone in m'sia,1st post pay voip for consumer..... but their decision making staft.....when tmnet being force to open its network for other isp to provide dsl, time dont use this chance like jaring, instead, they want become mvno, didn't they forgot why they sold out 017?moreever,now they are facing lost, but they want to bit for the high cost required 3G.... they are telco just like telecom, they also have fiber optic network,if they serious to offer dsl,i sure they have more room to win than jaring. |

Telco have the equal access agreement. All of them should take advantage of this. It'll benefit them and better yet, we as consumer will get a better service and wider choice.
I am waiting for wired broadband for quite sometime already, but seems that I'm still stuck with wireless and most of the time it's kinda useless. For now I'll take whatever provider that can provide me a wired broadband. It really makes me wonder why doesn't TIME grab this golden opportunity and compete with other providers? ~psyher... |

Well, TIME not doing so well also probably people are attracted to 1mbps from Streamyx which is at RM88/77. For RM89, u can't even get 512kbps from TIME...

QUOTE(prasys @ Dec 10 2005, 08:26 AM) wow , I thought jaring has the best backbone from Cisco..It even stated in their website (somewhere)...Jaring Wireless can p2p..shocking..till to date , i can't still p2p..Maybe they block Kuala Lumpur B$ users from downloading off p2p networks I think they block the port only like BT common port 6880.u try to change to other, c can work a not? but i heard my fend say, they had "network scanner" to scan the network usage. so may to always change the i/o port. |

Hi All,
I got my broadband on 15 Dec 2005. The broadband was down on 20 and 21. Was told the lines reside my building was causing problem. I was able to get the IP from time. Managed to ping www.google.com and www.yahoo.com. I couldn't online instant msg and browse internet. I even tried to browse internet via ip instead hostname. The customer service seems did not understand. The follow up was fine. Few ppl contacted me. After the service is back normal. Few calls to confirm as well. So far not bad just they are lack of troubleshooting skills. Speed is ok acceptable 384kps. I do not upload much. Tried to download ringtones(HK) and some software from the website. Pretty impressive. I don't use bitcomet. I can't comment on that. I am happy with the Time:) |

If I'm not wrong, normally TIME Broadband are all SDSL except for TIME Webbit. Too bad they don't offer 1mbps/1mbps.

DarkImage12 .
Look , again it depends on the ISP.There are many reasons. I would just give you want of the reason. Look , if the ISP Cannot provide at least 70% of the subscribed speed , its pretty useless. So instead of offering a 'faster' connection , they offer a Reliable connection. |

QUOTE DarkImage12 . Bingo!! Prasys. 100 % agree statement. Yeah!! as long as 70% and the ISP are reliable and promptly response. QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Dec 27 2005, 10:26 PM) streamyx enterprise get fix ips rite? i login their account using my home line also get their ip Because the IP have been routed to the particular dslam. If u using the same dslam with the enterprise login then tou can get the traffic. If other dslam, then no traffic can find you. |
