samsung support service really good. just now when I got problem upgrading the firmware and I emailed them for help. They responded by calling me within couple of minutes. But frankly, I hate Kies. Sony companion is much much more better.

QUOTE(HateFakers @ Apr 2 2012, 06:28 AM) Updating the software through KIES has been a biatch for me. Help me..always download halfway then download error occurs yeah, faced problem too last time. infact Kies needs 3GB free space on your C drive. Update using OTA is much easier. I hate kies. phone connected to pc, but you can't do anything with it.Added on April 2, 2012, 6:58 amFailed to run firmware update. Unknown error occured |

QUOTE(HateFakers @ Apr 2 2012, 08:20 PM) Warranty card is not important. If your phone has any problems, just bring it to any Samsung service centers and your IMEI number (located near the battery) will be inspected upon as that number will have been computerized in their system. just bring the purchase receipt. |

There is new Kies update. I think there were more than 3 updates before but Kies never work properly. I can get it connected via usb, but can't never transfer, view etc files vice versa using kies.

QUOTE(masterelr @ Apr 8 2012, 05:12 AM) How do I transfer mp3s, images, and videos to the phone? After I've connected the phone to my PC, I get a message saying the disk drive is full when I tried to transfer some files into the phone. Don't transfer files using Kies coz it will take ages. Go to Settings> wireless and network> USB utilities. usb cable should be not connected to the phone first. When I checked the USB storage space (is this what I'm supposed to check?) on my phone, it says the total space is 1.70GB and the available space is 1.52GB. But when I checked on my PC, it says the whole 1.70GB has been used. Is there some special software needed? Or do I need an SD card? |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 8 2012, 08:57 PM) is your usb debugging ticked? Check under settings-> applications-> development->tick USB debugging If u nid to have access to external sdcard only, no nid to tick the usb debbugging tickbox. I think it is much safer to have access to external sdcard only coz u dont want to accidently delete something on internal memory. Then connect your usb cable. You'll get to see USB is connected in the pull down screen(whatever it's called). Press the notification and press connect usb storage. Then you can access both disks. |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Apr 9 2012, 02:13 PM) It takes few milisecond for camera to focus. if you want faster shot, you have to let the camera to focus first (holding/touching without releasing the button), the release the button when the desired scene/action come into the screen.second technique is to do away with autofocus. set the focus to infinity. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 11 2012, 06:17 AM) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317394 Totally agreed with iwan. if you learned math & science subjects in english, this rooting thingy would be piece of taufu fa for you.Follow the first method. Rooting via Recovery method. This is the easiet. Nothing else is easier. Download the file from your phone(make your life easier, no need PC in this case), place it in the root directory. Means in the outside most folder when you open 'My Files'. Then you can follow the guide. It just take you around 2 mins for whole process. Don't even need luck. Won't actually go wrong unless you can't read simple english |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 11 2012, 09:53 AM) Now I don't care that much. I usually leave wifi on overnight and it still drains 5~6% over 8 hours. No complain on battery life. Btw, as you use it for some time, you won't even care about that. It makes not much of difference, believe me. LOL Well it's depend on your telco. If you have Digi line like mine, then welcome to club. Digi line sometime so fcuked up that the signal drop lower or to zero. When that happened, your phone will in searching mode and it will drain the battery faster. I HATE DiGi. And now they coming up with LTE, they messed everything else up. |

Off topic a lil' bit. Are there others that got problem with digi signal lately? Before this the signal were fine in my office area. No problem inside the building too. But now it's so bad that the signal is totally gone.
Complaint to digi and was told to switch to 2G. WTF! And what I'm suppose to do with dataplan? free meals for digi? |
