As much as I support v6, I would have to say 5.84c is still the way to go unless players themselves wish to change. And to those who diss 5.84c so much, there is something about 5.84c ( not the bugs or imbaness ) that definately cannot be achieved by IceFrog. Maybe it is the terrain, or simplicity of the recipes or something. I just don't feel it to be the same.
I believe 5.84c will definately attract more people by a big margin. Somehow I think even by changing to v6, those ' supporters ' won't really join. 5.84c top clan players can adapt within a week just adjusting to the slight changes ( no TS, Bone nerf, Medusa nerf, etc ). This is my opinion throughout all my years of WC3/DotA and marshalling.
However sooner or later the switch must be done =/.

Yluxion, you are kinda shallow. Let me cut this short for you. It is because of the players, why WCG adopted 5.84c. I cannot reveal more then necessary.
Edit: But one thing I must agree is, sooner or later, the switch must be made. So one CC will have to sacrifice being the guinea pig.

Hitting own creeps when not below half life --> hex is not a bug. It is actually casted on you by an invisible unit =).

But I don't blame the CC, if there is anything I can tell you is that 5.84c players is generally more gutsy then 6.27b players. The former players are more used to tournaments and all, while the latter may join online tournies, they would most probably retreat when it comes to LAN tournies.
For now, just don't whine. When WCG finally starts having DotA ( I know they had it last year, but it was only Malaysia and Singapore, so it ain't really international WCG )... there is no way Malaysians can whine for 5.84c anymore. If they want to sure go ahead, and miss out the opportunity to compete with other nations.

Not to mention how looked down upon they would be.
