Its not stupid because reign of chaos is old version while everyone is playing frozen throne.

Now we have a scenario both version is widely played. No matter how much u hate v5 its is still widely played. I am saying this is because if you cant play v5 well, I wont admit u are a dota champ because I always think v5 and v6 is different so IF u can play both well means u are worthy of a CHAMPION.

Imagine this, Michael Schumacher cant ride a motorbike. You think its stupid or not? That why Rossi is testing for F1.

Please use your brain on WHY ppl makes a comment but not simply use your HATE over v5 for it.

my 2cent

DONT LIKE WHAT I SAY THEN FARK OFF mad.gif

phozen - u sucks btw. HAHA. Come 1 game next time. Long time no play with Iris too

Just to set things straight, not everyone out there has TFT... Its a PAID expansion, not free. So, RotC isn't exactly an "older version" since 80% of the units in Warcraft 3 come from there and are still being used by TFT. You'd be suprised at how many ppl still play RotC and it is in fact still supported concurrently with TFT, so its not exactly old.

Anyhoo, having 2 separate games for a tournament in different phases is in fact a stupid idea... Its not like tennis where you can add extra sets for the final or minor rule changes... This is like having 2 different games. Its not even close to be a true representation of a team's skill. Why don't you suggest to FIFA to make the World Cup qualifiers be futsal and the finals only being actual football?

For instance, if a team is reeeeeeeeeeeaaaalllyy good at v5 but sucks balls at v6, they'd probably breeze through until the quarterfinals and be assured of a top 8 finish. Vice versa, a reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyy good v6 team could be bundled out before reaching the part where they truly shine.

If you really want to make a joint v5 & v6 tourney, make use of both maps during ALL phases of the tourney (Kinda like a triathlon, but only with 2). Probably make it that a team must have 2 wins, one with v5 and v6 or something along those lines, to be labelled the winner.

I personally think that having 2 separate games in a tourney is a bad idea... You're gonna have to train yourself to have 2 different mindsets (silencer: v5= pusher, v6=anti-magic, etc.) which just feels so unnecessary.
