EDIT: Uploaded a smaller file --> http://www.savefile.com/files/2322656 (requires QuickTime 7)

Hello, I'd like to post my first complete animation. This is a school project I have just submitted for this semester. This is the second time I attempted to do an animation. It was a shame that I couldn't complete my first one last semester. Everything from concept to the end was done in 3 months. It's not the best but I did my best making it. I have learnt alot in the process of making this animation, and found that I love rigging and animating alot. Hope to learn even more the next time.

Synopsis:
Yin was ill because she was possessed by demon. She then found herself in her own mind seeing the demon taking her body. With her mother's blessing and having faith herself, she defeated the demon and reclaimed her body.

In the story, the room represents Yin's body. She can see into the room but couldn't enter the room in her mind world, she is watching herself being possessed. She is locked outside the room (her body), her soul cannot enter her body. The door is the only entrance to the room, and the key to open it is to have faith.

Thanks alot guys...

The whole thing was done mostly using Maya, and partly XSI. Rendered with mental ray. Composited with Shake and Digital Fusion.

The cloth simulation was done using Maya Cloth. Syflex is very fast but I find Maya Cloth more physically accurate, and I find Maya Cloth easier.

I just finished my studies at Limkokwing, going to RMIT University next year.
