QUOTE(albnok @ Jun 7 2012, 03:29 PM) If you put the F58AM in Manual Power, and a dumb optical slave on the 580EX II, and prevent the pop-up flash from reaching the 580EX II (either by a card, or turning it to portrait orientation leftwards (camera grip facing the sky) and having the 580EX II on the right.) Hmm.. thx Albnok. I will experiment on it later tomorrow at PWTC If you can find a smarter optical slave that skips the pre-flash, then you should be able to use it without blocking the pop-up flash from reaching the 580EX II. |

Hi guys, may I know if any of you are providing lens calibration services? I am experiencing constant out-of-focus issues with my CZ1635 on my A77. It looks good when not zoomed but when zoomed even a bit the blur-ness will appear to be very obvious. Help!! >.<

QUOTE(ieR @ Jun 12 2012, 01:10 AM) Intelicca: try "-8" (negative eight) on the compensation for 1635. see if its sharper. (common compensation for 1635 for crop body) u get sharp at 16, but sometime (much less then before) a little soft result. Ok. I will try that when I get some human sample to shoot on. Currently its set to +8 and seems to be focusing fine with a moderate sharpness with slight soft blur.Thx Ed. |

QUOTE(ieR @ Jun 12 2012, 05:25 PM) huh? +8 is good? if off its not good, but u get backfocused photo? thats contradicting >.< Tested and this is the result: actually, 1635 is the HARDEST to calibrate lens, due to its massive DOF. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Conclusion: Achieved satisfactory accuracy rate. QUOTE(8tvt @ Jun 12 2012, 11:40 PM) u should use paper that have several lines to calibrate.. I have the focus check chart paper and tested 3 rounds with that paper before making sure with my own 'battery chart'. Accuracy is now higher with lesser AF hunting. (Averagely [1] Focus attempt to get the correct point with [2/30] shots require 2nd or 3rd refocusing.pointing the center focus in 45 degree.. from there can estimate what value to add or minus.. to get the sharpest spot that been focus locked.. |
