So banks are in the same league, aren't they?? The Holy Grail of Investment too. Worse still, they now don't even have fractional reserve in their balance! Look into banks P&L, making huge returns using your money and paying u peanuts like 3.25% per year and you say "bravo, safe and sound, good returns"! What an idiot! ....and no complains. Why don't you ask the bank.....hello Mr. Bank, can you show me how you make the money and I want to know why pay only 3.25% PER YEAR. I want to know your Holy Grail of Investment (if they is such a term, my goodness what term is this) strategy.
Their financial statements are reported and you can check them. Use to report that in the newspaper! And nobody care to check, earning lots of money and paying peanuts!!!!!!!!! Your last paragraph is just your assumption......

I can't help but laughed at your questions.

1) ask any one like banks how they make money from your deposits, hand you a paper book, and pay you a meager 3.25% per year and own all the big buildings in town. Check out what they own!! If your friends borrow your money from you, you give him a IOU paper then pay you 3.25% and you found out from your deposits with him, he is making tons of money and pay u peanuts like 3.25% PER year, i'm sure u will curse him and say what kind of friend is that!! May be don't, cos you are so satisfied with the arrangement. To trade gold, you don't need a LICENCE. You don't get it??

For someone who constantly reprimands other people for not getting their facts right, you seem incapable of doing it yourself.

Here's a suggestion if you're willing to take it - Understand the difference between investing in a company's DEBT and company's EQUITY. When you understand the difference, come revisit these 2 posts which you posted. Otherwise, YOU stop making assumptions and spreading untruths.

Thank you.

PAMP Suisse Gold bar is well known and world recognized. AFAIK, original packaging is better la.

However, physical gold bar trading in here depend on several big market player.  I once ask a gold shop that sell the PAMP how is the selling price if I want to sell back to the shop. She say 20% or something(forgot already but I think a bit too much) below market price for PAMP. Needless to say I didn't buy it because I did not think I could earn much from such big different in buy and sell price. It literally mean gold price need to rise more than 20% or MYR fall more 20% compare to USD to earn money. And it is hard to sell it to other people.

You don't necessarily have to sell to the goldsmiths. There is a vibrant secondary market available on facebook. PM me for more details.

From my previous post, you should have known that I do not own PAMP.
And I do not trust the thing I see on FACEBOOK especially in doing business although I own a facebook account.

Ah I meant to quote the person you quoted instead, but anyway I wasn't referring to those usual groups you see on facebook.

QUOTE(anudora @ Oct 7 2012, 01:37 PM)
I am quite disturbed by their blind support for Genneva. They mocked all the other banks or investment funds for paying them little profit and praise Genneva like Chai Sen for their "profit sharing". At the same time I feel sad for them. Many seem to have invest their whole saving in Genneva.

So many days had passed, until now they still support Genneva. That are their choices. Cannot really blamed them because reality is hard too accept.
For these people, I would advise "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst" They can hope for the best but at the same time, they should be prepared and start planning in case the worst happen. They should plan for their next step of action if everything fails. But this is easy to say than done considering the current situation and the emotional worry feeling they had.

The one thing that gets to me the most is when they say:

PUT MONEY IN FD, BANK EARN SO MUCH, PAY YOU SO LITTLE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY TO PROFIT.

IN GENNEVA, WE ALL SHARE THE PROFITS

I've said this before, but clearly they don't understand the difference in investing in debt and investing in equity.

Never before in my life have I seen such a huge bunch of delusional people all gathered in one place.

Genneva new age business model, innovation, earn money through hedging (this is part I hate the most, because they don't even understand what hedging is)

Blame BNM, blame govt, say BN this BN that, whole government and its agencies make them suffer, now suddenly UMNO offers to help and they say OH YEAH UMNO IS GREAT, SCREW MCA.

I have always wondered and perhaps someone intelligent here can tell me why ?

Bank FD - average 3%p.a.
EPF - average 6%p.a.
ASN - average 9% p.a.
Good share counters  - average dividends of 12-20%p.a.

Why cant banks and EPF give as high as ASN? Is it their fund managers dont perform as good as ASN fund mgr? All the above are legal institutions of course but why the difference??

For the third time in less than a week, I am posting the same thing:

Understand the difference between investing in DEBT and investing in EQUITY.

It has NOTHING to do with fund managers performance!

QUOTE(serenity22 @ Oct 10 2012, 11:10 AM)

Shares well....dunno heard my uncle make from some of these counters...again correct me maybe not accurate. Cos he said sometimes shares got give birth to more shares...etc etc besides the dividend yield.

If you are not sure, then don't mention it, do your own research and find out. And for your information, what your uncle is referring to about 'shares giving birth to more shares' is merely a rights issue, which actually dilutes your holdings.
