off topic a while, other than for jewellery, I don't see any use for gold. Yet for centuries ppl have always treasured 'em. Islamic council should issue fatwa declaring gold as haram laugh.gif

Getting help from UMNO:-

Added on October 8, 2012, 3:20 pmHasmaliza Hasan It's make me feel very sad. My son is studying in Maahad Tahfiz school and there is no aid from government. Some of the parents they can't afford to pay the school fees and give pocket money to their sons around RM400 per head. With the monthly 5 figures commission that I earned, that money I have been using to help them and the rests $$ to help the school financial. Now, since I can't get my commission, I have to tell them that from now onwards, I have to cut half of the aid since I can't afford to give much anymore...

Quote:

He said: “While I don’t believe Bank Negara itself had a vendetta, I believe there is an element of envy or jealousy here,” he said.

“Banks all have the same kind of investment products and it’s a level playing field. But here comes a company that doesn’t require a license and uses a commodity that isn’t regulated, and customers get almost 10 times better returns,” said the agent, who declined to be named.

He argued that with gold being sold with such a lucrative return, a lot of people would be withdrawing monies from their accounts, which in turn would start to worry the banks."

This really takes the cake!

European banks would now decide to put all their funds into Genneva and Genneva would be invited to set up offices and branches in their countries to boost the economies.

I listened to some old BFM podcast today (ringgit and  sense > investment scams) and i found this lady from SC was implying to this gold investment scheme similar to genneva. U buy gold bars from them, u can't unwrap it nor go test it...

She mentioned this:
"it will loses a lot of it's original value of the genuine gold bar once they smelt the gold to make it into smaller pieces..."

"u would find that the goldsmith would not accept the gold becoz the quality of the gold may be questionable..."

So anyone tested the gold bar? There are genuine for sure but how genuine? 999? 916? or 24k?

reminds me the story in my childhood, about a rich man who bought a bag of gems and was told that he can never open the bag to look inside, else the gems will turn into stones...

and man lives happily ever after knowing that the gem is FOREVER safe and sound inside the bag... brows.gif

Erm... how should I explain this to you... lets try a story mode..

I have a company that runs business and based in Russia and has been running there & other countries for X couple of years & I have won awards for X couple of times. Do I still need BNM's approval? who is BNM to me? As long as "Bank Negara Russia" is ok with my business, I can run it.

True? Logical? make sense?

Ok, back to Wiki.

Wiki is somewhat one of the best source of truth around but does not mean you can trust it 100%, as an user/investor/purchaser you should always do your due diligence before buying or using something.
*
as long as u start a company in Malaysia to run that biz, u r subject to SSM. (but when it comes to illegal deposit taking, BNM takes over the investigation.)

seriously... dont tell me u r not aware of this? doh.gif

Exactly bro! you are right!, but for this case is the company a Malaysian company? no innit? so does it still require approval from BNM? smile.gif
Ok guys, I am leaving for home now... my response might be very late..  icon_rolleyes.gif
i think u r confused between BNM authority and SSM authority.

a company running a biz in Malaysia is subject to SSM, regardless where the biz/company starts from. Take Chatime for example, started in Taiwan, but when it comes to Malaysia, it has to follow SSM guideline and regulation(aside from its industry regulatory).

McDonalds, Toyota, Bemmers, Crocs etc... all the same.

but when it comes to monetary matters, it falls under BNM jurisdiction. Monetary matters refer to currency, money printing, physical cash, investments plan, insurances, funds, FDs, banks, bonds, stocks, deposits etc.

not sure if any other SUV can, but Harrier can carry over 500kgs. (but the SUV is gonna be dem slow... and probably have to change its suspensions, steering rod, and wheel alignments every other month if they transport that amount at least once a week.)

Lets see

Gold density is 19.32t/m3

So 500kg:  0.5/19.32 = 0.02588m3

which basically is a 300x300x300cm cube.........very small

1) cheap rental (i assuming they are renting the place)
2) smack in between old mature residential area with lots of aunties and uncles and old retired ppl.

I remember Genneva has an office in Old Klang Road before the Kuchai Lama office... any1 recall where in Old Klang Road is that? if i'm not mistaken it was back in the 2007'ish. blink.gif

good laundering move. could be another investigation aside from Illegal Deposit case.

after all, money laundering is one of BNM priority cases.

p/s i'm not supporting the claim that it happens to Genneva "investor", but it does look like a good laundering move since GMSB will never do any due diligent on their "investor"

RDPD is a book about financial education, which part of the book promotes Get Rich Quick Scheme? please enlighten me. smile.gif

even thou most of the get rich quick schemes use MLM structures, they are 2 separate matters. (for your information there are several types of MLM structures. as long as there is a limit to the pay out, the business itself is sustainable.)

dun be another dugong who tries to act like smart. u are commenting like one. rclxms.gif

Rich Dad Poor Dad give you the idea of financial freedom by investing to generate passive income. It's hard work and patient, etc shares, unit trust, property and etc, there don't promise high return like ponzi.  Just that many scam use RDPD idea to apply on their products.  If you use it  correctly RDPD is very good idea of creating asset not liability.
dude, u live under the coconut shell all these years too? probably you're part of get rich quick scheme to deny this too...

Thanks for your feedback. I don't mind sharing with you my shame investment experience.

In the past 20 years, my investments are really diversified, which including properties, shares in Bursa and SGX, unit trusts, insurance saving, foreign FDs, FDs, saving, gold saving from MBB and Singapore UOB, AS1M, newly acquiring perpertual bonds of Genting Singapore and also, Forex via FXCM.

I have made some big money and also, losing some big money. Overall, plus and minus, as per my excel records,  the past 20 years returns me with around 6% average annuity. This is as good as the EPF dividend declared in last year.

Why not, put all the money into EPF or AS1M, rather works so hard for all kinds of investments.  cry.gif

That why my eye is so RED when knowing Genneva investors were earning 25% annuity. They make me look so stupid!!!
*
its always good to diversified, but too much could bring down the house if u r not careful. sweat.gif

anyhow 6% annuity, with vast experiences in diversified investment method... ok lah. i wish i have time to learn all of it. tongue.gif

My comment to BNM and goverment is that they take action too slow and do not educate public correctly for investments.
not every1 reads BNM press release, and not every1 cares about educating themselves before jumping into "investment" schemes and those sort.

but i'll agree with you on the part that our authority tends to be a weebit slow when it comes to law enforcement.
