QUOTE(scorpio55 @ Oct 10 2012, 05:09 PM) Some people think EPF and ASB are also PONZI schemes albeit ones operated by GOVT. Why? Of course EPF is PONZI....just that EPF can't pay u 2% every month...!EPF has been used by GOVT to lend money to all kinds of pte co's which are politically linked. Much of the money may not be recoverable. Thus if we have a look at EPF balance sheet, do you think total assets is less than total liabilities? EPF is also a big trader and investor in the local stock market. Do stock market investors win all the time? As EPF is quite likely at this time underfunded, i.e the total assets not enough to pay back all the creditors, GOVT has to look for ways to recapitalize it. The latest huge recapitalization is by transferring the RRI land in Sg Buloh at a cheap price to EPF, so that a few billion can be replenish to EPF coffers.!!!! IS THIS NOT THE BIGGEST PONZI OF ALL?? |

Update on joint raids conducted by enforcement agencies on companies suspected of conducting illegal investment schemes using gold
The Attorney General’s Chambers, the Royal Malaysia Police and Bank Negara Malaysia, would like to provide the following update on the recent raids against companies suspected of operating illegal investment schemes using gold. These raids were conducted in the interest of protecting the investors as well as the public at large from falling victim to illegal schemes. Based on surveillance and examination conducted on these companies, it has been discovered that these companies are operating schemes that are believed to be not sustainable to provide the promised high monthly returns, nor would they be able to provide the buy back guarantee of gold. Such schemes are not sustainable because the returns promised are not funded through gold trading, but from the monies invested into such schemes. The investigations have also revealed that the amount of assets and monies held by these companies do not commensurate with the amount collected from their investors. Prior to the joint raids, it has been noticed that these companies have delayed in returning gold or money to the investors within the stipulated time as promised. Such signs are early warning indications prior to the collapse of such schemes that would result in significant losses to investors. QUOTE(KentPhan @ Oct 11 2012, 06:15 PM) Thanks soundsyst64 for the recording. Just finished the listening. Interesting!!! Pat Lu is desperate lar.....Fully agree, Pat Lu is really low class mentality. No sense at all. The Malays sounds much better and understandable a bit about the incident. Since she is one of the top CON-sultants, I believe she lose more than others. I know one CON-sultant who proudly says she has about 5kg of gold with her and when I ask how she got so much money to buy them, she teach me a method called LEVERAGING.... Her 1st capital is RM200k...which bought her 1 kg...then she go pawnshop and pawn it to get cash... She can get about RM150k cash...then top up with RM50k capital....and buy another 1kg.... This goes on for 5 round....and her total capital is RM200+4(50) = 400k. On hand, she will have 1 kg of gold and 4kg at the pawnshop. With 5kg, she gets about RM20k hibah per month....pays the pawnshop about 6k interest (1% x 150 x4)...balance 14k. So, with a capital of 400k, she gets about 14k per month....that is 3.5% per month! If all the CON-sultan practise this, they will run to Mongolia soon! This post has been edited by KamikazePg: Oct 11 2012, 06:28 PM |
