Sifu Rory, me using flyrod set with pumpun as bait laa, me try flies but no bite and the place not enuff space to do actual flyfishing wor.....

Bro KK,
Didnt managed to get to Yan as the schedule is tight for me. However i managed to go to Bedong Angling Park on Saturday, and on Sunday i got an invitation to test power with the Steroid Siakap.... Largest specimen is about 5~6kg, but the power~...fuhhhh...doesnt seems like 5~6kg siakap at all. Imagine a PE2~4 Shimano Jigrex bended fully........... Setup, 6~8lb drag setting, 30~50lb main line, 80lb leader, lure: spoon with 11/0 hooks and still occured line putus at leader(due to abrasion), mustad circle hook patah, 60lb split ring pulled straight.... will be back there soon..  |

Me totally understand what you meant, surprisingly sometimes those 'Gila-Killer' are much-2 more powerful than sailfish, maybe due to space constraint or snag......

That one is Daiwa Saltist(Bay Jigging) ultralight jigging rod la..meant for 20~40gram jig only.

well last weekend didnt get any hook ups..... but i was very happy coz finally i can cast with my bc at a very good distance... thanks to sifu rory for teaching me the techniques of BC casting... thanks to sifu rory for his rod loan to me.... and borrowing me his lures for saturday's training.... also not forgetting bro pacu for his lures as well
