i've been using the batista ICS 0.3 and i found out that google navigation didn't work as it did with GB version. last time i used the GB version, it will navigate and works as normal GPS.
but this time, it will always says that the maps are not available although i search the route first thru google maps. it was really a painful situation coz my papago X5 cannot detect certain location. do you guys have this issue in any ICS build? |

QUOTE(blackchides @ Mar 19 2012, 02:16 PM) Try Thebyani ICS ROM. It's fantastic; buttery smooth. There's the link to the stock kernel somewhere at the end of the thread too if you want it. Honestly very pleased with it. foxhound ICS v0.3 works ok for me. but now they are running on version 0.5, which have some bugs with duplicates sms (known bug for lpq base for ICS) etc. you can wait a little longer until the developer release a stable lp7 base. |

QUOTE(blackchides @ Mar 19 2012, 02:57 PM) Check my reply few posts up. It's awesome. Some very very minor issues with the Vertumus theme but on the whole, it's very very stable and fast. It's based on the LP7 firmware so none of the duplicate SMS issues. lp7 base should not have the duplicate sms issues. can't wait for batista to launch lp7 base rom next.. |

it should be fine as long as you load your apps only.
you are trying to load your apps from previous rom into your new ics rom right? what GB rom did you use before? |

QUOTE(smokymcpot @ Mar 19 2012, 03:54 PM) what messaging mate? enlighten us with screenshots.to reload apps from previous rom, its safer and easier to use titanium back up. it has an easy interface to use. one word of advice for making back up; ensure that you perform back up for user apps with data only. try not to mix it with system data coz it might have conflict with your new rom if you restore both user apps and system data. QUOTE(smokymcpot @ Mar 19 2012, 04:02 PM) Before restoring, I didn't have the issue. After restoring they just put unfortunately, messaging has stopped. so you are using a 3rd party sms apps right? may be the latest ics base lp7 still got some conflicts with 3rd party sms apps.or you can try remove the apps and reinstall it from the market from scratch and see how it goes. |

QUOTE(smokymcpot @ Mar 19 2012, 04:13 PM) I wiped everything and gonna try to reflash back thebyani and hopefully it'll work. Before restoring, everything was A okay. After restoring, I can't even use the browser and messaging. Didn't check others. i suppose its best to perform a full wipe when we wanna flash a new rom. if not, it will definitely cause a problem.i've checked on the market, the apps should be ok with ICS coz the min requirement is android 1.6 and above. |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Mar 19 2012, 04:30 PM) Full wipe is always a good practice. These fc can be very annoying in times of need. I remember myself using a new rom without wipe. Then I need make an urgent call can't cos keep fc. Can only receive. Swt man yup, from each rom thread that i read, the developers informed that they will only entertain bug reports if we install their rom according to their instructions; full wipe is a must. |

QUOTE(limbryan @ Mar 19 2012, 08:22 PM) i've got 1 question. if let say i need to sync my company email, how should i do? my colleague who using Iphone is able to receive email without log in to webmail. Hi mate.may be your company email server enable some sort of security filter or some thing that will not allow any unknown source to get data from it. Might try and ask your IT guys about it. My company only allow blackberry to receive emails thru exchange active sync..i've asked samsung dealer, who told me that can set it at "Account & sync" from "Setting. Then go to "add account" and select "Microsort Exchange ActiveSync". However, after filled in whatever details, it always show "Unable to connect server". hopefully someone can help me on this matter. thank you. |
