hey, may i know the english requirement of an accounting degree in MMU .
*
nowadays in order to get the degree, band 1 is sufficient instead of Band 3 back in those days. I guess the entry requirement to study the degree program wouldnt be too strict

sorry pal. it's the other way round..

(Senate Meeting No.146) - Intake to DEGREE / BETA on June 2009/2010 and onwards:
- Entry requirement - Band 1
- Exit (Graduation requirement) - Band 3

(Senate Meeting No.128) - Intake to DEGREE / BETA before June 2009/2010:
- Exit (Graduation requirement) - Band 1

FYI

Hopefully they dont need muet as im going to register. Anyway, thanks for giving so many informations.

i think entry requirement maybe a Pass for English subject is sufficient. You can take MUET in university. I was an accounting student. We had this subject called Prepatory Management English which is for those students who did not get Credit in their SPM. So, for those who got Credit can do the credit transfer and straight to take Advanced Management English subject. So meaning to say, although a merely Pass (7D or 8E) in SPM English, MMU still accept.

i'm interested in accounting degree and i know that melaka and cyberjaya offer accounting degree . I heard some of them said that melaka campus is better than cyberjaya in terms of the quality of lecturers . Is it true ?  i would really  appreciate it if someone would help me out since i was a science student before this .
*
MMU did not have full exemptions on the F Levels papers. You might have to take F5 and F6 after you graduate. You probably have to think other universities.

MMU suck so bad this time!! those years could have exempted for all 9 F papers...now only like 6. In cyber campus, only have one and only tax lecturer cum tutor. Mgmt accounting always have different lecturers thus different modules - so not standardised study modules...

Maybe you can contact the following for confirmation:
*
Yes i was a student from MMU. graduating soon i suppose. They still haven't get my status changed which is just sucks ball.
Don't bother to even contact MMU people, i mean if you want to write an email, they are so busy and never really reply. Just go to Acca global website and check your choices of university whether got fully exempted for F levels papers or otherwise!!

useful link - https://portal.accaglobal.com/accrweb/faces...tionsTable.jspx

attached the exemptions granted for MMUAttached Image

Do not generalize.
*
maybe i was wrong and probably i should contact the Dean instead of the managerial level personnel. No offense though!!

and their ACCA accreditation only 6 F level papers instead of 9...MMU should update in their official website so that new intakes can have second thought and not given a false information. Again, No offense!

i'm currently in foundation in management and thinking of doing accounting degree after this. Are you saying accounting degree in mmu is not good?
*
well, accounting eventually is all about professional papers after all.. i mean after ur degree, u still might want to take up some professional level papers like Acca , cpa and others...

those years, all fundamental levels papers are exempted for ACCA, but now they only have 6 papers exempted instead of 9. so after u got the degree, you still have to take 3 F papers+5 P papers in ACCA...

maybe go sunway or others? i dont know their tuition fees but MMU isn't too cheap also...

That is obviously way out of the line, and I choose not to assist you  yawn.gif

All righty, i took it back but I suppose your assistance would be like, the process has to be gradually done and I have to wait for a while and most probably I think I have to wait for the next Senate Meeting until September, You know, they all have one prior commitment which is to prepare for the Raya celebration.

I mean seriously, what so hard that makes them to approve the graduation application. I had asked and was told that I have completed my studies by the faculty manager. Seriously? even the passport application can be done in one day and it's national matter while the simple approval takes forever!! It's not like I'm asking a loan from the university.

I am not trying to be rude or to offend people but really they just don't give a rat ass about it!

a question. for taking degree, a muet is must?
*
I guess not a must, you can still take MUET during your degree program in University. But must take MUET and get at least Band 3 so you can graduate

Added on August 8, 2012, 11:40 amI just being granted the 'Graduated' status. Can I apply for Letter of Completion studies and an official academic transcript prior to my graduation which will be on October!???
