Hi Human Nature,

I be sending my daughter for the June intake as she have been accepted by MMU Melaka.

As we are arriving 2 days early before the registration day,can you recommend any hotel nearby ? Appreciate it very much .

Added on May 20, 2012, 1:50 pmBtw,I have read your FAQ that the cost for Foundation in IT is around RM12K. How can we get the actual cost and the payment is half yearly or one lump sum ?

Thanks again.

Thanks for your quick and informative replied, human nature....

By the way,is there any hotel closest to MMU which I can check in ? I wish to do some exploring as I am coming on 25th.

And... Does she need to have her own printer during her study at MMU?

Thanks,

The closest would be the King's Hotel, about 2 km from MMU.

Several printers are provided at the computer labs for commom usage but advisable to have own printer for convenience sake.

Thanks,

Just called King's hotel and it is fully booked..Called Puteri, also fully booked, called INB Resort, room still aplenty,so booked first..
Anyone seen or slept at INB resort before? Pls do share your view,if any.

If she don't mind going to shop to print out stuff then you don't need, but it's advisable to have a personal printer just in case. Notes for lecture & tutorial, mostly need to print out by yourself.

Hi nymerine,

Thanks for chipping in the infos..
I am also sharing this forum with my daughter and hope she take the initiative after this..

at 7.8 km, the location is considered far from MMU. if your intention is just for accomodation only, i could recommend some budget hotel within 3 km. are you interested?

Hi Human Nature,

Just reached Kota Bharu around 8.30 pm ,12 hours journey straight from Ayer Keroh.did stopped for quick lunch at Cukai.

By the way, just to share here ,especially to the gals staying at Ixora apartment. My daughter just called around 7pm that someone entered her locked room to do bit of wall painting. It was done without her or our knowledge. And messed up her stuffs with paint drops..

This is most unacceptable as Ixora should have the basic courtesy to let her know . Furthermore the Ixora staffs never mentioned about this job paint to me when we signed the tenancy agreement.

We will definitely lodged a complaint tomorrow morning with Ixora management.
After all this a all female block and suppose to be safe.

Hi, that is terrible and not professional at all. My advise is to inform your daughter to be careful with her belongings until everything settles down. If problem still persist, you could try to lodge a formal complaint with MMU management. I am sure ixora don't want to be blacklisted too.
*
Yup, Definitely will lodge a formal complaint with mmu management but I will hear ixora explanation if it is fore coming . And it might a tip of the iceberg since nymerine have encounter this intrusion of privacy.

Thanks again...

Anyone know how to travel Kota Bharu -> Malacca using flights? I checked MAS, Fireflyz & AirAsia, all no flights to Malacca.. even from Malacca no flights to Kota Bharu, honestly I'm tired travelling 800km using bus, 12hours bus ride is a no joke, take few days to recover myself  sweat.gif
I heard KKKL is better, since new they have new bus and good seats.
...I'm about to retake mathematic technical 2 then I saw this.. Oh man.. getting C for math(yes i know, shut up),
usually registration open 9PM-9AM .. yes night only, probably to lower the server load during days time and upcoming results day.

Hi nymerine,

Yup,there is no direct flight Melaka - Kota Bharu by any airlines. Unless you transit at LCCT,which I presume you already know.
Local KB guy,by any chance ?

Hi guys,

Just to share,

For PTPTN loan - only Maybank & Bank Islam are the agents. Tried CIMB just now but was told they don't provide this facility. Opened with Bank Islam as less crowded.

the insurance talk told us , even u have ur policy u still have to pay rm290 for the insurance , and submit in ur policy to them , once they approved and they will give full refund to you smile.gif

I forgot to bring the medical insurance policy during my daughter registration day and naturally they insisted we to sign up the MSIG. Fortunately I managed to convince them that I will email them asap, which I did.
So far no issue except they reminded me to renew since it is expiring in July.
