Applied for Law but offered Analytical Economics in Cyberjaya campus instead. Decided to appeal but whom should I address the letter of appeal to? FBL or just the Admission Department generally?

Can anyone explain why the fees for internship is RM660 for student ID falls under 109 and around triple the price (RM1826) if your ID is fall under 110 ? Is this normal?

For IDs starting from 110 onwards, the calculation follows the new fix payment policy while those 109 and below is according to credit hour. Thus it appears different but if you total up for the whole course, the amount will be the same.

why don't you stay at the hostel? Most student stay there.

i heard got cyberia hostel block and also got town house or anyothers ? Just wanted to get some suggestion from experienced ppl . And also heard cyberia there quite old and dirty .Is it true ?

hi im goin to enrol in june in mmu melaka..i need to ask about the hostel..should i stay in campus hostel or emerald park or ixora? please any1 can help me out..which 1 is good wit facilities and all?pls help

Cyberia is not a hostel block, it is a commercial apartment of its own within walking distance to MMU. (5 mins) The environment there is quite okay and the hygiene level is acceptable. Within the house premise, you'd have to cross your fingers for clean housemates or better still, live with friends! There are townhouses as well next to the condos; they are all the Cyberia's premises.

I would strongly advise against living in hostel as I feel our hostel cleanliness is really bad and there are some theft cases as well. If I'm not wrong hostel fees per month range about Rm200. If you don't mind sharing, you can easily get some medium/master rooms at about the same price plus a little bit more from utility bills.

Welcome!!! Hmmm...hostel is inside campus. Its convenient to go to classes. Rent is about RM210+ per month i think and rooms are shared. Toilet/bathroom is also shared in 1-2 floors, i dont rmbr. The good thing about staying at hostel is that u get to use the awesome internet speed of MMU. Emerald park and ixora are pretty close to campus with short walking distance. I'm not sure whether Emerald park is still renting out to MMU students, u have to check on tat in their website. Ixora's rent is about RM230+ per month and it depends on the floors. Higher floors = more expensive. They have a swimming pool. Shared room too i think. I heard ixora and emerald park internet is completely useless so they use streamyx/broadband.

If ur looking for more expensive or cheaper rooms, there are some houses with room for rent around the area. Cheap ones go for like RM260+ for single rooms or RM300+ for twin sharing. Not inclusive/inclusive of utility bills, it depends on owner. All basic stuff are provided like washing machine, fridge, cooking stuff, tables, chairs, beds and etc. Expensive ones may be around RM300+ for single rooms, sometimes comes with air conditioner. Contract may be a year, depends on owner. Just visit the area and check out the houses.

It is the same as the Cyberia condominiums. Different way to call it I guess.

Alternatively, there's another nearby townhouse called the Cyberia Crescent. It is still near but you'll have to cross the main road everyday as it is situated opposite of MMU. The place is quite clean and considerably bigger but I think the rent is more as well. Someone needs to clarify on this rental thing. Welcome to MMU!

any pros and cons for october intake and january intake?
course structure,graduation date, numbers of people ?

You're most welcome!

October intake is really really small, and your course structure will be really quite weird in which you get some senior subjects way ahead of your schedule and something of that sort. January intake is better, especially after the revamp in course structure for FOE's cases. Still, I'd say June intake is the best as the group is large and you'll definitely have some friends who will take the same courses with you till you graduate.
