indeed. it is always a good idea to have 3-4 people that can become your referee at any time. i see you plan to do masters, it is by coursework right?

1.Kindly provide the following details of the two referees to whom you have forwarded the reference forms. One referee should be the supervisor for your recent academic work or from your current/past employer.
2. Kindly send the reference form(s) to your referee(s) requesting that the reference(s) form be completed and sealed in an envelope. The referee(s) shall sign across the seal and return to you or forward to IPS, MMU.
3. It is your responsibility to ensure the reference forms are forwarded to IPS, MMU within two weeks after the deadline of application.

thanks for your guidance. it's very helpful. yes i'm pursuing masters by coursework.

looking for a suitable referee is not really an issue. however, i don't think i can have my previous supervisor to be my referee. long story short, me and my supervisor didn't see eye to eye on things. who knows what will be written in my reference form whistling.gif

another thing of my concern is, will they offer extra courses to enhance skills needed for my studies? if i'm going for masters in IT, will they let me attend programming courses?

you could try getting the dean of your faculty or any former lecturers, preferably at high academics positions.

that is actually a good question which you can pose during the open day. i have no idea about IT courses so I dont dont if there is any.

MMU has not been revised its fees for more than 5 years iinm dy while other private institutions revised theirs every year or every 2 years. Majority of these insitutions are also ranked lower than MMU and even a few with non-accredited programmes, but charge higher fees. A simple survey among Uniten, UTP, UCSI, Nilai, Inti, Monash and Nottingham for its engineering programmes revealed that MMU was actually the second lowest. The hike in fees is thus justified, though it should be have done gradually starting from the past few years.

I feel cheated coz I just enrolled for 3 weeks. And suddenly the fee increase. I understand that the fee need to increase over the time but a sudden increase of RM2k is too much for foundation year.

I don't really care about other private institutes coz I always wanted to enter mmu. What stressed me out is why they don't inform earlier about the fee.

What can the student do if out o 40 marks in the midterm exam.7.5 marks are questions that were never in the syllabus, not in the note, not in the past year questions, and were not being taught before.

7.5 is not little.divide by 2 and round off its only 1 short of another grade.

that are the questions that will distinguish A+, A students from the rest. having said that, do check with the lecturer, it could still be part of the syllabus but requires deeper analysis/understanding.
