Really, i've got problems with shyness too. But I realized 2 places.

When VGL, I was going around people and meeting them. I even just introduced myself carefree and happily.

And then at the gym, i'm always good with that area because I know about fitness myself.

Realize your place in your comfort zones, and then ask yourself whether such a thing can be emulated or not. Or you can just be honest and tell people you are shy. Who knows, maybe they'll help you out of your shell and you can start becoming more active in the community.

But do take a cue from Gundam's meaning too. Maybe you need to pursue something somewhere and try something new. If you end up getting stuck, you'll just stuck. Really.
