After several attempts to search around, the only available in Malaysia for cordless one is the Bosch Cordless shears
![]() after with telescopic extension ![]() but I think it is not meant for trimming, but for shearing purpose only ![]() |

if your lawn area is small..can buy grass trimmer cord of cordless...but if your lawn area is big..buy the grass cutter using petrol..mine use petrol..around RM280 (china brand).......i would suggest you buy grass trimmer with 4 wheels....easier to use...hand held grass trimmer if 'tak biasa'..your hand will shakinggg...
Makita brand is good..compared to bosch..since i hv bosch power drill..not so heavy duty as makita. This post has been edited by tomjason: Mar 12 2012, 11:09 AM |

This is my Bosch grass cutter cost rm250+ if not mistaken. Model 220W typ 0 600 821 823 ( strange). You need to train how to use it. Specially how to tide the nylon in the casing.
For thicker grass or dense, this model have difficult to cut as the power not strong enough. ![]() |

Just buy the China brand grass cutter model BG328. It's cheap and use body to support it's weight except the handle. So, less tiring and numbing effect to your arm.
For storage, your just can keep it in one corner and hang the handle to the wall. It will not take so much storage area. But remember to empty the gasoline tank before storage. |

Very noisy is small matter. Just use ear plug, problem solve. Also don't forget other personal protective equipment such as safety shoe, hang glove, safety glass and cap(for hot day-bur recommended).
I think, for piston jam just drop a little bit of 2T oil on top of the piston head. Maybe that should work. I emphasize on 'maybe' because from my previous experience with 2 stroke motorcycle during younger days, I use that method. But, it usually work on Suzuki bike only. |

Bosch Grass Shear ISIO - got it. not 100% happy with it for the carpet grass as it wont cut it properly when the grass is thick. not so dense then its fine. the ISIO is great for bushes and stuff though and the battery quite lasting. but i got lazy and have employed a gardener to do the entire job, so i have a spare lawnmover (rotary, BOSCH), ISIO and a grass trimmer (also electric one from BOSCH) - want it?

Hi all,
I know I'm slightly off-topic here but this is the only gardening thread I can find. I'm looking for spares for my Tecumseh lawnmower. I need a replacement flywheel key for Tecumseh Prisma 37. Any ideas where I can get parts in KL/Seremban or through mail? |

hi everyone, just wanna ask...
is this any good? can't seem to find much details on it... Black & Decker Grass Trimmer GL260 plan to in-source my lawn cutting and DIY... also, what is this thing about winding line, etc... really pengsan... thought just bring out trimmer, turn on... cut... but i see many talking about DIY winding, replacing, etc... plus, it terms of "cutting power" (sorry, very layman term as i'm not expert), corded still better than battery? or both about the same? edit 1: in regards to the line/ spool, what is the type used by the MBPJ/ MBSA ppl? i see they just throw away and then put in a new one? this one is old way? best way? automatic... from what i read, it will auto replace? no way to make it into the manual method where i manually replace it? I'm looking to buy a grass trimmer recently since the MPAJ and security guard offer me RM50 one time for the cut and cleaning. I only have around 10ft x 20ft garden.
So thinking to buy one electric grass trimmer, basically only saw few products from online store, mostly with bosch and blank & decker brands. Currently a bit more interested on Black & Decker Gl4525 450W, Could I know if there is any one use it previously? Could I know where I can get this product if I don't want to buy it online? I only have around 10ft x 20ft garden. MPAJ and security guard offer you rm50 to trim your garden? So thinking to buy one electric grass trimmer, basically only saw few products from online store, mostly with bosch and blank & decker brands. Currently a bit more interested on Black & Decker Gl4525 450W, Could I know if there is any one use it previously? Could I know where I can get this product if I don't want to buy it online? That is weird. |

Brought a grass trimmer few week ago. It is not for big garden.
![]() ![]() Previously using this type. ![]() The previous 1 shear the grass more than trim. The cord turn in high speed and flung some grass out. Rather cut. That cause the grass uneven and botak in some place. The new 1 trim better as it is a cutter. Your hand more nearer to the cutter and have better to control. Trim more even and nicer. But take longer time as the cutter is smaller. The long cutter is for trim flower or bush. The bad about this Bosch trimmer is the battery life is short. About less than an hr. While charging about an hr. Battery built in and not changeable. Don't understand why they don't design to changeable and std to other cordless tools. Another bad is the cutter feel like not that sharp after cut sometime. |

Hi all,
I am looking for a grass trimmer for small house backyard. The area is around 100 sqft with Philippine grass. The budget is around RM300. Prefer something easy to use like an electric trimmer since I am quite new to this. I am thinking of getting one of the two below. Appreciate if forumer here can help be decide or recommend. Thanks 1. Hitachi CG25SC Grass Trimmer - Cheaper (RM 220 vs RM 300) - Lighter (2.3kg vs 2.6kg) 2. Makita UR3000 String Trimmer - Larger cutting width (30cm vs 25cm) - More power? (450W vs 400W) This post has been edited by caviars: Jun 24 2018, 11:38 AM |

I am using EGO 56V Battery 33cm Line Trimmer. Cost around RM800, but very quiet and reliable. The battery is 56V, can use up to 1 hour of continuous use. If you find the line not sharp enough, change it to the star-shaped type, it will transform to as sharp as the traditional steel blade trimmer type.
You can also buy the mower, where the battery is interchangeable between their equipment. Only thing is it's expensive. |

I end up buying Hitachi CG25SC Grass Trimmer for RM200 form a local hardware store. It comes with the unit, extension wire (15ft?), additional trimmer line and goggle,
Overall, it get the job done for a newbie like me. For me, it is quite loud and the vibration is quite strong but manageable once I get used to it. The only issue I have is cleaning it after use. There are grass residue on the cutting guard and near the trimmer line. I end up using cloth to clean it. Is there a more efficient way to clean it? |

Hi, any recommendations for lawn mower and grass trimmer ?
- Is electric reliable nowadays ? - How do I know if I need a mower or just a trimmer ? Happy to invest in something smaller first like a trimmer, instead of diving straight into a mower - Prefer ease of use to collect the trimmed grass This post has been edited by Chiggah: Sep 20 2019, 04:43 AM |

hi guys, owned a gl425 black n decker here. planning to make a 20 meter long extension socket for using it.
Size ~ 23/016 , 40/016 , 70/076 100% FULL COPPER WIRE - which one should I use to make one? would a 40/016 be enough to support the power load or I need the 70/076 ( kinda expensive for this category). |

Hello everyone, I have a question about trimmer lines. I was cleaning my garage and found a trimmer line, I don't remember where it is from and I don't remember buying it. Can you tell me if it can be used with my lawn mower (photos attached). I think that maybe my ex husband bought it but on that time we had another lawn mower, so I'm a little confused.
