More important question is whether characters made and played in the Americas region will be transferable to other regions. It sounds like they are, but any items you buy in the auction house and your character is carrying or in stash will not follow you?

Yeah which is why I think it might just be a display bug. Was wondering if anyone simply ter-click it without checking and can double-check to see if they got charged 90 USD or 90 SGD.

Hmm I just decided to make a US account for Diablo 3 since even if they fix the SEA price it will still be 90 SGD = 72 USD. It's 60 USD for US accounts. Pro-tip, you can use an email address alias to make another account that sends email to the same address.
