QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Jun 1 2012, 04:50 PM) About RM600...the Radius DDM...and the closest priced to the TDK BA200 is the JVC FTX-90 IINM. So yeah the TDK is actually the cheapest I hear of a dual-driver so far that isn't some shoddy Chinese imitation.I usually see dual drivers in the region of RM550 to RM1200. EDIT: Sorry, the SAE thing is actually a major typo that I forgot to remove. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Jun 1 2012, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(osiris @ Jun 2 2012, 10:04 AM) that's not really true... the JVC HA-FXT90 can be had for 499 at SenQ, same price as the TDK BA200. both are 300+ if you don't buy locally. One of the things that separates the TDK and the JVC is that the JVC has no crossover. The JVC is a simpler IEM, employing two small dynamics that are constructed differently so one driver favours a different frequency range than the other. The drivers actually works at about the same phase, and the sound overlaps. The TDK uses traditional crossovers and BA drivers, making them technically more complex (and technically superior) and should also be more expensive. For the tech it offers, the TDK is cheap. One of the cheapest, if not the cheapest dual BA driver IEM that is actually good enough to recommend (according to many who tested it).between the two, the TDK is wider in soundstage and instrument separation. the JVC is better at low end bass though. both are good in vocals and midrange. @cyloh: Apart from SenQ, Jaben also has them, at a higher price though. |

QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Jun 2 2012, 05:20 PM) Oh yeah, there is a newcomer from Sony as well the XBA series. Forgot about them. Well then, I smell a comparison. QUOTE(cyloh @ Jun 2 2012, 05:23 PM) Not worth mentioning. |
