I work in Mid Valley and there are so many beauty salons to choose from, any of you ladies have experiences you can share? What do you look for in a good beauty salon and what's the price range like? Do all of the salons force you to buy their packages? I suck at saying no! Might get pulled into sign one

Some salon do promotion for first trial...if you're happy with their service, check on the prices and package. Not happy just don't sign even they try to hard sale, learn to say NO
There got various of facial type for you to choose, or ask them to suggest which suits your skin |

I would say ALL salons will push you to buy their packages AND their products. So if you're bad at saying NO, then maybe it's time you learn how to say NO. Or you'll be buying a lot of things that you don't need.
Price range is roughly RM100 per facial. It depends, at MV, the price could be higher than that. I've seen prices at RM350 per facial also got. |

I actually dont mind paying for facial coz it helps clean away the dead skin and of course you always come out feeling relaxed and if the beautician is good RM300 or RM400 is also ok. Face is your most important asset mah! Where do you ladies go to for facials? maybe other than Mid Valley... |

I go to Serene Aesthetic at One U. After 10 years of going to beauty salon, I'd say the beautician is the most important! A good beautician has the experience and knowledge to use whatever products/high-tech machine available in the salon to cater for your need/budget, and wont hard sell to you. Honestly, for so many years I had to switch salon after i finished a package because i just couldn't find the right one, until 4 years ago I gave it a try at Serene. And honestly, it was my beautician Eva who made a difference. When she was away for a few months, I tried 2 other beauticians at the same salon, and disappointed! They made my skin allergy with rashes, which only went away after 1 month! Same facial package, same product, different people gave you different result !

Went for facial once, ruined my skin damn it. Made my skin secrete even more oil. I used to have smooth "oil-free" baby skin k! The type where I run those oil absorbing sheets and it will absorb NOTHING. Darn...!
From that day, I don't simply go for facials anymore. Probably will only go for good ones. This post has been edited by ace.princess: Mar 26 2012, 10:49 PM |

Plenty of Groupon/group buying deals now. Try whichever appeals to you that's nearby.
