So I went to Lost World of Tambun today, and they gave me a RFID tag.

So i went crazy tapping my phone to the rfid tag. I download a nfc app, but I dunno how it works..

I was wondering, can it be used to unlock hotel doors? Like tap a hotel card, then save it on the phone, and use the phone to unlock the doors, no need to use the card, can or not?
*
don't think so, each vendor usually encrypted the data to prevent data hacking. but at least you can detect the card, know the total memory size of card.

general nfc app only can read those unencrypted card data. farebot is compatible few cards from WW.

Installed Chrome for Android just now!
Simply AWESOME! Incredible!

I think it's way better than the Galaxy Nexus Stock Browser.
*
QUOTE(phantomash @ Mar 16 2012, 09:31 AM)
its my default browser, the stock become the backup lol laugh.gif
*
same same here....
already start using since release. everything as good as stock browser with much improved UI. but except 1 thing, still no flash support, I guess chrome had no plan too on final release? or any developer mod it from xda?

Do NOT use Auto Brightness.
It kills battery more or have no effect in saving up more battery life.
*
QUOTE(droid13579 @ Mar 16 2012, 10:59 AM)
Yeah Auto Brightness only Adjust Brightness it Never Dim Your Brightness, IMO.
*
agreed. better use manual brightness if you want more battery life.

how long the nexus battery can last with 3G data always on? Total screen on time compare to galaxy note? anyone using both?
*
I guess GNote > GNex, since GNote having 2500 mAh battery.

Nexus not support USB mass storage means we cannot transfer file using the usb cable? what is MTP? any different to USB? can nexus transfer any file from PC to nexus?
*
Yes, Nexus confirm not support USB mode storage because Nexus using flexible partition between media storage and app storage, instead of regular fix partition. MTP mode stand for Media Transfer Protocol. meant you still can transfer any media files from PC to nexus or vice versa but not all file type, example system files.

Alternatively, we had discuss several times before, consider purchase WIFI Filer Explorer PRO or try the free version. AirDroid also not bad.

do i need to root in order to use the stickmount app?
*
yes, you can. why not you just connect the USB cable and you will know, no harm to try.
Yes, stickmount need root.

You can also transfer other files too besides media using USB cable. I transfer all my Apk files, word, excel, ebooks, audiobook files n photos over through USB cable
*
yes, that's correct. somehow, I found that too huge files size or too many number of files, seem slower. I prefer wireless file transfer via WIFI Filer Explorer app.

What about the pen drives?

I had tested too, working fine for pen drive. I also tested Powered-USB hub, working fine too with 2 piece of pen drive at the same.

okay, give a try. troubleshoot and check the root cause. either file downloaded corrupted or MX player issue.
