When major flood strike, it's kinda difficult to prevent it. Or does it?
Btw, can the car owner claim insurance??
*
This one is the maintenance people problem. Should inform the owners to driver away their cars. Caught by surprise.

Damn the news report says the owners only realized it the next day when they woke up. Meaning condo management also never ronda ronda the condo at night.

Btw, I supposed if unit floor No is lower, will get lower floor parking unit ?

Wow .. This kind of incident happened , who will dare to buy ?? Unless your transport is bicycle or you like swimming in the car park!!!
*
Yeah flood can happen to multilevel buildings but this kind of thing can be avoided if the security people patrol the place properly and are fully alert when it rains.

The management should take responsibility abt this incident....al least give some compensation to the owner

on the bright side, these people's home is unaffected. only their transport.
if landed..... damages is far worse.

That's a good one. There is always a brighter side of things. But don't talk about this in front of those people who got their cars damaged.

You mean every time rain , they have to ask all the cars to drive out? Then the guards and owners are always busy and u have to know when all go out in a same time, if everyone will be stuck or not in the car park?how about if the owners are not at home? Sure the price of this property drops like hell.
*
I worked in a multilevel building before and this is how they do it. They did not trigger for people to drive out the cars everytime it rains, so I do not know exactly what the criteria they use. You have a choice to leave the car in, but they will close the "gate" until such time when it is considered safe. Presumably the "gate" is able to block the water from flooding the basement.

For those people who want to use the car, they will have to drive the car out, damn leceh, but otherwise their cars might get "locked-in" for the night. They have a PA system to announce to the tenants.

Of course if they could nip the problem at it's bud, so much the better. But apparently this particular building in town couldn't get it fixed at it's root cause. So they are practicing this "leceh" thing for years.

Boss dun mention bout tat. Last time I question bout the possible landslide n I got tembak GAO GAO. Beta keep quiet even thou I stil think foresta is not too safe.

I supposed genuine buyers don't mind getting negative comments because at least after listening to the negative comments, they can make an informed calculated risk of buying the property.

People who dislike negative comments are those with vested interest on the property such as agents and developer. Flippers may not like negative comments too because it makes it harder for them to goreng.

Developers dislike negative comments because they always have conspiracy theory that you are sent by another competitor.

So we all know who we are. That's the only thing which matters.
