QUOTE(AVFAN @ Mar 9 2012, 01:22 PM) why gds did not inform residents? this question is on everybody's mind... They must got record list for residential car park which basement carpark is belongs to which unit . possible reasons: .. nobody expected it even remotely .. gds never thought that is their job .. gds on duty have no idea which units = lowest parking lots .. water rush in within 10 mins, no chance for anyone sue the mgmt for negligence? this condo still under developer or jmb already? if jmb, residents will be suing themselves!! gds should knock those unit door while the water level is not so high yet . but most of the gds is foreigner ,they will only wait for order from management only they will take action . |

QUOTE(puchongite @ Mar 9 2012, 02:36 PM) That's a good one. There is always a brighter side of things. But don't talk about this in front of those people who got their cars damaged. actually, it would be good to hear direct from those affected.so far, none posted anything in this forum/thread, i think... |

QUOTE(Hunakadoo @ Mar 9 2012, 01:38 PM) there must be a management company for every condo one . Wrong.maintenance fees will go to their pocket & they manage the condo Any maintenance fee goes to JMB/MC fund. By then JMB/MC appointed a management company to manage and maintain the property. JMB/MC is appointed by unit owner and chairman/treasurer and committee members must come from unit owner. Asking compensation or damage fee from JMB/MC, is like asking compensation from your own maintenance fee. Added on March 9, 2012, 2:57 pmUnless asking compensation from management company, then different story. But in this case, it is hard to prove it is negligence in duty. Flood water can come in quickly, and management company or security has little time to react. The security may patrol once in one or 2 hours, the flood can come in within ten of minutes.
