I can answer this question. If you on the phone first time without a sim card, the default date is 13 January because my unit shows it too, after I insert the sim card and play the setting a bit the date/time is synced. So the Sony ROM is offically finalised on 13-Jan hmm.gif

There is 33% battery juice when I freshly on the device, now charging the phone.  thumbup.gif

What is the firmware version out of the box? .60 or .67?

Isn't the set already come with a factory applied sheet (shatter proof sheet)?

shatter proof =/= scratch proof.
the sony shatter proof protector is hard to come by, and hard to take off.
so just apply any SP on top of it, if scratch replace. hehehe...or buy exp one with anti scratch, minimal finger print one. now waiting for yeelin to go source.  brows.gif  whistling.gif

Yup, already followed this issue since X10, until Arc and now XPS, at XDA forum.

Some remove the shatterproof sheet (yes, quite hard but can be done) and don't apply anything. Some just put the extra layer of screen protector.

As for my experience (with Xperia Arc), the shop staff applied the SP in the box... so I ended up with TWO layers... the shatter proof sheet and the bundled SP.

Then for my set, I felt that the touch sensitivity is not so good (sometimes when im swiping the home screens, it will accidentally open an app)

I removed the SP and only leave on the shatterproof sheet and everything was fine.

So, for the XPS, I'll just use as-is, later remove the shatterproof sheet and apply the free SP biggrin.gif

Yes smile.gif

If you don't have any issue with reduced screen sensitivity, then 2 layer is okay.
