The U Mobile 'pre-order' looks promising to me since I'm gonna get a data plan. Anybody here has experience on U Mobile service/plan in Johor Bahru?

not everyone will understand why buy ori warranty by malaysia, because if buy from singapore, spoil then takkan just because of a phone have to drive to sg/ by flight take go n claim warranty?
*
For many people in JB, taking a bus to Singapore may be faster than driving to a Sony service center. tongue.gif

But I'll get myself a M'sia Ori, because nearest Sony service center is just 5 minutes drive from my house while it's 15 minutes to causeway checkpoint. tongue.gif

I think it's the other way round sweat.gif
Well, postpaid user is a steady income for telcos. God knows when the prepaid user gonna top up their account.

I remember DiGi only list the earphone as accessory.
But now Xperia S pre-order seems to stop already. I can't find the page at DiGi website anymore.

LiveSound hi-fi headset @£59.00
So Sony is giving away this (worth £59.00, that's RM283), but it mention BLACK. So if we get white Xperia S we can't get the sexy white headset...

I'll survey JB market over the weekend to see if any Sony shop 'accidentally' puts up a demo set or better, selling one. tongue.gif

U Mobile made a mistake a send a correction email. The U28 bundle price is actually RM1499 instead of RM1449 and have to pay an upfront of RM168. Well, RM50 is can eat a few KFC meals.
Still can't decide to get black or white doh.gif ... if to get black I'll consider U Mobile.

Weird. I don't understand stand this. I checked the U-mobile site and it says stock available starting from 19th. Where's the 21st that everyone is talking about on the site? @@"
*
If you have done the ROI with U Mobile you'll get an email from them, stating the stock available from 21st, plus the first 10 buyers at BTS will get a goodie bag.
Now their website states available from 19th doh.gif So the goodie bag is available on 19th or 21st???

what are the free stuff worth RM534?

do they let us check the product for defects before buying ar? tongue.gif
*
The so called RM534 worth of bundled freebies are SmartTags x2, microUSB cable, car charger, microHDMI cable, screen protector, and LiveSound hi-fi headset, which, are supposed to be included in the first place.
Any decent shop will allow you to check for defect, but not before you've made the purchase.

Somebody mentioned got two with DiGi ORI bundled set here in the forum, or is it an AP set hmm.gif Now the AP and ORI sets from different sources are flying around, it's really hard to say for sure.

QUOTE(smokey @ Mar 17 2012, 10:20 AM)
actually how the umobile calculations work?

u28 package, i calculated is
upfront payment = rm168
payment upon registration = rm1667
installment for 6 months = rm139 x 6 = rm834

total = 168+1667+834 = rm2669??
*
I think U Mobile made another mistake at the EPP period as it should be based on 12 months EPP, as RM1499 + RM168 = RM1667, RM1667/12 = RM138.92 = RM139
Just ignore the RM400 saving... you only saves RM232; however, the upfront payment is supposed to be rebated.

Celcom is offering both colours. Too bad I only need a data plan as I'll keep my LG Secret as primary calling/texting phone. U Mobile seems to fit my usage as I pay RM28 for 1GB. Celcom wise I'll have to spend another RM50 on call plan which I don't need.

Newbie here. (have been stalking this post since V1) laugh.gif
I'd like to ask y'all opinion: if i'm buying this with a Telco, which is more worthwhile? icon_question.gif

-i do minor net surfing on hp
-i call/sms more
-i'll be traveling a lot so coverage on highway is a must
-i enough money to out right buy the phone but is it better to go with a telco?
All the telco plans are confusing me and it would be a blast if someone experience can give me a hand.
Thanks  smile.gif

Maybe get a voice only call plan and then sign up for YES 4G? Their highway coverage looks pretty ok down south Johor here.

I've just been to U Mobile store in Johor Bahru, their first walk-in customer today. Nope, they don't carry the stock yet. 21st as stated in the email is the true launching date as the staff there said. They do have a dummy phone on to be displayed though. The black phone does look good when see in person. And they told me what ever accessories included by Sony will be given.
