More cores is only important if you're doing stuff like video editing, animation, rendering, decoding and 3D- computation.

Oh come on Microsoft and Nokia is already out. They were lumbering giants so to speak, slow and ineffective. Up until the time of N95 before Apple iPhone there were already strong market penned up demands for touch screens but the two idiots do not wish to rewrite their OS. Still no touch and still on stylus (stubborn). Why not continue milking the cash cow without doing anything right? But alas when 5530 comes out it is already too late. They already lost.

Smartphones and N series was once the jewel crown of Nokia but too bad, not anymore. Nokia N95 then was even more expensive than iPhone 4S 32GB now. The time of symbian is over. Sure N95 was tons better than iphone 2G ever was spec for spec as people compared it countless of times but their stubbornness refuse to realize that the premium people are willing to pay for multi-touch screens.

A few reason why Nokia will never catch up ever again. They hated Microsoft WM but now they join hands with them. They are still focusing on camera only mobiles with N8 and pureview....like since the "was once smart" N93 in those days. SE at least was smart enough to dump their UIQ, K-series and W-series early on.
