what is the usual price for this ? I've looked around Pets Wonderland and see people selling 4 -5 inches between RM300 -1k depending on color.

I don't know what features make one arowana more valuable from another so if anyone has tips that would be great smile.gif

the seller has alot more of the same, and kinda tempted ... but my mind is telling me RM2.5k can buy me many other things too tongue.gif

thinking of adding a arowana into my koi pond for pest (small fish) control.

read that silver is the recommended type as less risk of jumping. any tips from sifu here ?

hi guys, complete newbie on arowanas but been rearing koi's for the past decade.

wondering if there's any advice on an arowana pond ? From reading , seems Arowana's prefer being near the surface, so should the pond be shallow ? water fast or slow flowing ?

Any tips which type of arowana would be more visible in a pond ? don't want to just see black shapes gliding around tongue.gif also how much space should I budget for each arowana ?

just to add: I've put a green arowana in one of my koi ponds as an experiment (pest control of those "longkang" fish). so far so good and went from ~20cm to ~100cm in about 4 months. so far no attacks on the koi despite out-growing some of them already

you can't be serious right ?

20cm to 100 cm in 4 months ?
...and It eats Longkang fish ??

100cm is 3.3 feet, you must have made a mistake.
