It looks DE in the pic.. but actually the eyes are all moved inside.. I ask the shop they told me to on heater and put salts..

I'm using T5-54w lights on morning 9am till night 7pm.. For the size now I am feeding them fishes
*
i see..if u said it isnt DE then u can only hope the salt plus heater works..

Temperature set at 31 -34.. Above 30 but not more than 35..

At the moment stop feeding for a week or two..no worries we starved ours for 2months and yet they are strong..

Best of luck bro..

Bro Pileew,

Its definitely drop eye.. Why I say so is because normal eye disease are either parasitic ( white colour, white spot ) and pathogen ( pop out )

So, if its concave like you said it is, it should be whole inside the socket.. But the picture taken by you clearly shows the btm part of the went in with the top part still out of the socket..
It is the best indication of DE..

If possible, check its lower jaw tip ( where the barbles located ) for injuries.. I've seen other fishes knock on the glass of the tank and the eye on one side becomes DE.. Trauma to brain is another caused of DE..

I dont think salt and heater treatment will help in this case..

Thanks for the reply... From the pic the aro are watching my phone so the eye are looking below, it looks like DE in pic.. And with all my aro in fibre tank will they still get DE? and if so, what can I do for it? I will check for it again tomorrow..

in fiber tank, the only possible DE cause would be strong light..i would suggest u changing ur T5 to a normal white T8..preferable life-glo..or if u want budget go for philips daylight with green tip..

Bro, can take a video for us to see the eye? Since u said the aro is looking at ur phone? Cause usually if the aro eye is normal even they are looking at us, the eyes shouldn't move downwards unless they are turning upwards..

That I cannot answer you.. on the norms, aro don't usually get DE in fgt.. but yet again, I've got no experience in keeping so many in a fgt so I'm not in any position to give you any advice..

As per what leggedy said earlier DE is more to gene if u bought this fish as hb then i would say it's more to hybrid aro with a lot of xb qualities but this piece maybe has the gene of an aro which has a major DE problem.. but it should not be a problem as far as the aro is healthy and eating well.....other than that should be fine...

as for best medicine is still SALT n HEATER for any fish..

tank temperature maintain 34..put salt at 1liter of water with 3g of salt..

Ur only last solution if u said floating..

Gasping for air? It floated with the back at the surface, and can't swim down?

Or totally over turned?

Pics pics..

It sometimes looks low energy and sometimes floating at the back. I'm using something to clip it at a side. Trying to make it swim normally.

Pic upload tonight

do not touch the aro..can it balance anot?

Cant confirm if it is bloated anot..if yes, then :-
- removes all air bubble,
- minimize water flow..
- heater 34 celcius
- salt
- no feeding
- do not or dun even try to touch ur aro..let it rest..
- turn off lights

It is bloated, now the tank only got air bubble do I need remove it? I'm adding another small pump to make water flow.. Heater on 34 celcius now, water changed and salt added. No feeding since yesterday. Dont touch it? So now do I need to clip it? Because it sometimes are floating aside and can't even balance itself.. Lights are off since yesterday..

then ur aro gotta inhale air when u transfer it..yes, do not do not touch ur aro, coz when u touch it, it will nervous hence will inhale more air, the more air it inhale, the faster ur aro will die..

So
- do not touch ur aro, do not let it panic..
- remove air bubble, air bubble will only make that fella inhale more air, more bloated, it will got bloated until one level then over turn eventually cannot breathe and died..

- so after remove air bubble, set a low flow rate pump and let the water shoot to the glass wall away from ur aro..

- so no air bubble, water flow shoot away from aro..

- no feeding

- dont frighten the fish, need to rest..

- temperature 34 is a must..

- takes about 2 weeks to recover..until then when that fella can balance back also no feeding up to a month..

Temperature maintain 34 for a month..update me by then..best of luck..

Make sure that tank no tankmate..pleco also must remove..

bloated is cause of the aro inhaled excessive air when it is nervous..mostly happen during transfer and higher chances after feeding..

So if we wanna buy aro, make sure that aro wasnt fed for a day or two so that chances of bloated is very low during bagging..

And also happens after feeding our aro, some will disturb the aro or grab it, this is cause the fish to panic, nervous hence they will breath faster and inhale excessive air..
