Hi guys, I am new to this forum and need a consultation or advice on my career. First, let me introduce my background, I am enrolled in Bachelor degree( E&E), and going to graduate soon in this year.

My situation is that i have job offers from ONG( halliburton-maintenance engineer) and also semicon (product engineer). It seems like very good but i having a hard time to decide which job/ field should i go.

For ONG, if i was offer with field engineer, definitely i will choose it. So, i need some advice from you guys/senior/sifu here.

I really appreciate your advices, opinions, sharings.

What is the job scope of a product engineer in a semicon industry and how about its career advancement?

well it only stated that:

Excellent career advancement and development
Insurance and medical coverage programs
Stock awards
2 months AWS
Innovative and attractive recreation programs

Btw, it seems like most of you guys prefer ONG field, but somehow if it possible for maintenance engineer in ONG can be as rock as field engineer because most of people choose ONG field just because of the high pay for field engineer position.

Yups. This is going to be my first job, of coz i dont wan to choose the wrong field, hope to see the pros and cons in these fields. I am pretty sure u all know bout halliburton, and from what i heard is the chances for maintenance engineer to be on site/field is not high except when there is failure/brakedown of equip. So, if any of halliburton engineer can help me to get more clear on it(before i choose and sign any acceptance letter)? thanks ya.
