I have a question. Which company in Malaysia doing EPCC?
Companies like Technip, Ranhill, and Aker are consultant right? They do not consider as EPCC?

Big consultants like Technip, Ranhill, RNZ and MMCOG also doing EPCC. But most of the time, they will only work on the Engineering part and will pass to sub-con/3rd party to continue the construction and commissioning part.

Hi Jamal,

I understand for fabrication they pass it to 3rd party. Besides, those name mentioned any other companies?

I am a mech eng fresh grad and got these two offers.

1.Static engineer in Technip
2.Global Rotational Development Program in Cameron Johor

Technip offer is dealing with technical stuff. While Cameron will be more on management. I am keen with cameron as it offers more exposure. However, I scare i will stuck in manufacturing work which i dislike.

Any suggestion?

Greenfield is considered newly discovered field that has not been developed or in the early stage of development. Brownfield are oil and gas fields that have undergone multiple development phase and probably in the decline stage like Baram, Dulang etc etc.

So for example, Gumusut/Kikeh will be in the Greenfield stages while those Baram Delta fields are considered brownfields.

Yup, 52 wells there. But i'm not sure which one is drilling/ production wells. But there is another satellite platform (ANDP-B), with additional 32 production wells

Angsi was declared as 'khazanah negara'. It has one mother platform ANDRA/ ANDP-A and remote jackets ANDP-B, ANDP-C, ANDP-D, ANDP-E.

I just commisioned well C-13, C-14 at ANDP-C this shutdown with Schlumberger MPFM and Sand Monitoring System.

Woah... Relax. There's nothing serious about my comment. You should read the link that I've provided earlier then you can relate to what I've said. Relax lah... And next time, please don't pass judgement about other people being patriotic or whatsoever. If you want to express your opinion, just express it. No need to judge other people. We are not here to judge. Ok, bro?  biggrin.gif
PETRONAS is looking into changing the dividend payment structure to the Govt. from a fixed amount to profit-based percentage. Seems fair enough although profit can be "manipulate" by expenditure. What I've said earlier is just something that passed my mind - it was not meant to be serious in one way or another.  smile.gif

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jul 12 2012, 10:39 PM)
Understood. I read the link as well and I agree with what the writer wrote. I mean PETRONAS is the golden goose and at the rate the Government is milking the cash in terms of Taxes and Dividends, we are going to kill the golden goose. We need to make sure that Petronas is able to survive longer for the next generation and if the government is taking 75% of the profit, there won't be any cash to do all the things necessary to ensure the company can survive for another 40-50 years.

The thing is, our government operating cost (that's the civil servant salary and perks and all those rents they have to pay for all the buildings and all the bonuses and the new remuneration scheme they are implementing for the civil servant) are so high that politically, Najib will never agree to it. Who is going to pay for the operating cost? And why in the hell do we have 1.2 million civil servants?

That's another discussion altogether.

Hi guys,

For me personally, i agreed with Petronas's doing and would like to see what's happen next to the gov...

The gov has been siphoning/songlap profit of Petronas.

Even lends money to TNB and feeds money to government....

Can i say if takda petronas takda la negara kita ni yang masyhur?

Seniors, dont flame me please....
