Im still studying.majoring in electrical power. Just trying my luck with the ong industries.to be honest, im still abit blur on what position that i should apply or can work as. Probably as instrumentation or control engineers.any sifu can give me some guidance? Is Field Engineer position applicable to me?
*
Since your background is electrical power, i think u should apply for electrical engineer position. Unless you more interested to C&I stuffs.
If you wanna learn more about technical, can join consultants or EPCC. After gain some experiences then you can jump to Clients(like Petronas,Shell,Exxon,Newfield,Murphy and ...)

Petrofac is RNZ right?
*
RNZ is part of Petrofac's Engineering & Construction division now.

Petrofac Engineering Services (M) Sdn Bhd (formerly known as RNZ)

Bro,

I have a question. Which company in Malaysia doing EPCC?
Companies like Technip, Ranhill, and Aker are consultant right? They do not consider as EPCC?
*
Big consultants like Technip, Ranhill, RNZ and MMCOG also doing EPCC. But most of the time, they will only work on the Engineering part and will pass to sub-con/3rd party to continue the construction and commissioning part.

does anyone know what is the deciding factor for the number of platforms? basically, how many wells that can be accommodated by a platform? let say 17 of production wells, how many platform that need to be constructed to accommodate these wells? thanks!
*
I didn't know, but i saw one in Angsi Field (ANDR-A platform) with 52 wells. One of the largest drilling/riser platform in Malaysia.

52 wells?? seriously?? damn big. should the drilling and production be in the same platform though?
*
Yup, 52 wells there. But i'm not sure which one is drilling/ production wells. But there is another satellite platform (ANDP-B), with additional 32 production wells
