thanks for the heads up smile.gif

btw per say for an add like this, if a candidate were to apply for  multiple positions so how to proceed??single email/mail resume application stating the various positions interested or multiple emails/mails according to the number of positions to be applied? hmm.gif

Hey guys, my new employer asked me to do medical checkup, BOSET and Seaman's Book on my own and they will reimburse them later. I already signed their offer letter but it's only official after I've done all those required test/course.

Is this a normal procedure? I'm just worried if I fail to pass any of those test/course after I tender my resignation from my current employer..shouldn't be a problem right?

Anyone going Technip walk in interview tomorrow? i am thinking whether should go walk walk or not. I got one offer today from another company but i haven't confirmed the offer yet.
*
yeah I'm having second thought about going too. I'm more interested in field jobs compared to consultant..I think most Technip positions are office based right?

hey guys, I just joined a survey company that is involved in pipeline and platform survey. I'll mostly be involved in data processing of ROVs offshore (on vessels) during the inspection. most of the projects will be in Middle East region..

however, just got another offer from a local service company which provides mudcooling service and hyraulic hammers for rigs. it's a service engineer position. job scope is maintaining those two equipments offshore and also back at the onshore facility. I'm not sure in which region they normally do their projects, but their facility yard is in Kemaman..

which of these two fields is better for my career prospect in the future? which skill is more desirable? basic salary for the second offer is RM500 than what I'm getting now, hence the consideration.

you should ask yourself you wanna develop yourself in
1.) analytical job Or
2.) field hands-on job.

what is your strength and interest.
*
I honestly don't mind which area, I just want to make sure the experience and skill that I accumulate will make it easier to sell myself in the future.

QUOTE(Them_Me_You @ Jul 14 2012, 08:10 PM)
Will you become a Subsea Inspection Engineer / Data Recorder or surveyor for the first offer?
*
it'll be the former, Inspection Engineer & Data Recorder..anyway I think I already made up my mind, I think I'll stay with the current company as it's bigger (200+ employees) compared to the second company (30+ employees).

Hi, I just got a call from orogenic to interview for service engineer. I applied for field engineer. Can anybody clarify what a service engineer is?
*
service engineer is where you work with a specific equipment that your company supplies to your client. you'll be responsible to get it installed and running properly, do maintenance etc. So basically 'servicing' the equipment..
