SLB is hiring freshies. Depending on which manager, some managers will not let you go within the first 3 years. You can leave, but you need to pay.

How do you know? Also, should freshies just apply for it through their website by sending in a resume or is there other better ways of doing so? |

QUOTE(Mooi @ Mar 16 2012, 12:04 AM) How do you know? My jr peers who got into SLB recently told me that. But that doesn't mean SLB will hire freshies only. But most who got hired recently are freshies. Also, should freshies just apply for it through their website by sending in a resume or is there other better ways of doing so? The only way I know to apply is via the website. |

QUOTE(noruazumi @ Mar 16 2012, 12:16 AM) Good. At the same time, try to get to know some people in the industry personally so that you will get better advice in choosing your career path. *nods* Will do so, but seriously can't afford to be picky with the first job. Hopefully I will get more than one offer to compare and decide |

Hopefully I will get more than one offer to compare and decide To be honest & in my personal opinion, the course and university that you choose play more important part in getting your first job. Some average students from UTP can get hired by reputable companies easily as compared to other conventional universities' graduates. |

I am taking Mechanical Engineering (which is an advantage as I heard the graduates are preferred by employers as compared to.. lets say civil engineering).. but my university is still quite new. Right now, I am just hoping to get noticed with the extracurricular activities I participated. |

Good info, even though these positions are for the main construction company. |

hello to all respectable seniors and sifus present, haha. I just wanna ask, is the UCSI Petroleum Engineering degree reputation good enough to find employment in the ONG industry, especially among the big key players at present? Is there a good track record of graduates being hired so far from this course? Thank you!
