1. K&N drop in filter increase knocking
2. denso ik24 reduce knowcking. Our ori one is ik20. I got my ik24 at kakimotor, RM180 include installation.
3. esso ron 95 less knocking. all ron 97 eliminate knocking.

Hmm. Interesting find. I have no idea what I'm talking about here, but modern engines supposed to have "knock sensors" right to keep the engine from knocking rite?

i have this engine knocking since i got the car, have been trying and error-ing for more than a year. So info from myself. I tot i am the only one, since pipx has the same problem, so i share with him.

IK24 is colder than IK20, hot spark plug caused knocking.
http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/news/hot-spark...spark-plugs/326

esso not that good in terms of power and mileage, but less knock.

mine is 2.0, i think i had once, but one time only.

dont worry, the 2.0 is a better suited engine for us, cuz of the crappy petrol we are getting. even my relative's honda city do get it once in a while.

As for mine, it was after long long journey, 360km, stop at traffic light, then accelerate and let go and reaccelerate, heard like marbles rolling in engine, but only for 1 second.

other than that, no more such thing. that time my car only done 10k km, now 32k km, no such problem..only problem is always want to rev.

Dont think too much, almost every problem has it's solution, except for mine.

Um.... the "idea" is change back extractor to ori right...

Got 2 question

1. Can they find evidence it have been changed, ie the screws/gasket/wleding, etc tampered with?
2. When u service car... do they make a note in the system "Extractor aftermarket changed"?

If either of the above is a YES, then means even if u change back ori extractor.. they have the right to void your warranty

1. I haven install KNN filter yet, but planned to do so once I got the monies or kena mapiao (but i dont buy mapiao...)
2. ik24... thanks for the info!
3. RON97 really can eliminate knocking? But it's not viable to always pump RON97, berlubang la dompet saya...

My black oil level is actually almost 1cm above the upper hole, maybe this is the problem making my engine knocking. But the Senaxis Ah Yap high the black oil level oil is ok.
I think only MT got this issue, CVT no need to change gear = no knocking?

But hey, I'm not sure the kree kree sound I hear is actually the knocking sound? Maybe something loose in the engine compartment there?

In theory once the engine detects a knock it'll revert to safe mode map which should eliminate the knocking, in this mode ull get reduced power. Only after a while will it try to go back into normal mode.
Do u get this?
