QUOTE(lunacy @ Apr 9 2013, 07:02 PM) where did you service ? How much ? Can share the shop details ? Some shop quote 600 when i ask which is crazy. But wan to find a shop to do that really hard and some dont even know how to change timing belt for viva because viva change timing belt, need to dismantle front bumper, hence outside pomen always said "many works" and charge higher.standard price for timing belt kit set below rm150 labor below rm100 waterpump still ok i guess so no need change aircon/power steering/alternator bando V-belt below RM80 for 3pcs how to sum up rm600??? my regular service more budget Perodua 5W30 SEMI RM69 Perodua oil filter RM8 OEM ail filter RM15 Labor RM10 Total: RM102 |

QUOTE(Ikan_Sardine @ Mar 18 2021, 01:55 PM) My car also encounter this problem. The culprits are most likely the wires or sensors. Just search Viva low rpm in YouTube, you should get a couple of mechanic explaining the issue. Over time the wiring would corrode and putus either at the sensor connection or in the middle. For alternator you should check the symptom, do your radio somehow reset itself while driving? The battery light went on? mine also similar case, irregular rpm idle.saw few video at youtube, but does not helping. called to Perodua SC, they say viva memang ini macham, wiring and throttle body kaput. quote me 2k for replacement. 500 for wiring set, 1500 for throttle body tried changed new spark plug, same. last i have engine light on, then go diagnose obd scan, it says throttle body idle valve error, then replace it. ok for awhile, but problems persist. changed ficd switch, same. service throttle body, same. now suspecting ignition coil, not check yet. any idea |

QUOTE(Ikan_Sardine @ Apr 17 2021, 01:00 PM) Whoa.. Sorry for your problem.. I have no idea too.. But you're on the right track, now it's just the process of elimination.. Sorry. 1st i thought it can be solve, so just trying my luck, but problem persist.perhaps what perodua sc say is correct, change whole set wiring and new throttle body. well i just bought a new crank shaft sensor socket too, just spare for replacement haha while i trying my luck 1 by 1, money is burnt. too many example to follow, but problem persist this otai say change new ecu cant afford to even try it lol This post has been edited by darkdevilrey: Apr 18 2021, 09:02 PM AbbyCom liked this post

QUOTE(bobowyc @ Aug 8 2021, 03:10 PM) Didn't know lowyat got perodua viva forum. Hahaha. My car got 3 issues. 1. no idea1. My rpm meter is at 0. Although car starts up fine. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Should I be worried? But this has been happening for like 2 or 3 years already. Still using the car, no probs so far. Lol. 2. Got engine light appear. And when I check under the hood it seems 2 cables putus. Haven't send to my mechanic to help me pasang. Haha. But I hope it's not a big problem. Been using this car for many years. Only starting 3 years ago I use it more often. Since got gf thst time. Lol. 🤣 3. My remote not working. Already change battery but when press the car doesn't lock or unlock. Resort to using key to lock and unlock unlock car. Haha. Any idea how to solve this? 2. normally cable putus if you can locate it accurately, but aged viva tend to have aged wiring, now considering changing whole set of new wiring works coz rpm fluctuate. ( throttle body serviced and idle valve sensor changed ) 3. try buy new remote and reset, like wise 3rd party alarm system |
