I was trying to add my ASM & ASW2020 as favourite account in CIMB clicks this morning AGAIN. Can't remember how many times i tried and get rejected !! Know what, this time i manage to get it THROUGH !!!!!! I went to Maybank to update my AS1M passbook this afternoon, at the same time try to add more units (for AS1M, ASM, ASW2020), but it was FULL, as usual.

I did the first "Add Unit" from CIMB clicks this morning for my AS1M. See tomorrow got any good news or not. They charged RM1 for one transaction regardless successful. It is worth for trying rather than driving to the bank.....parking fee, petrol, time, some more need to carry cash.......

QUOTE(adolph @ Oct 12 2012, 04:54 PM) When did you open your ASNB account? ASM year 2000Several year ago? Kinda envy you, at least you've the account and already began, I can't even opened account even there's units that can top up. Most agents from bankers and Pos office told me to tried my luck after yearly dividend announced, but the chance are extremely low. They told me 2nd option, try it in the early of new year, as chance of fund size will be add ASW 2008 AS1M 2009 Dont worry, The gov will probably increase the fund size (ASM/ASW) before the next election to raise fund. But the smaller amount you type in, looks like the higher chances you will get it.This post has been edited by jacklew77: Oct 13 2012, 04:37 PM |

QUOTE(frontierzone @ Oct 16 2012, 07:30 AM) Good one, let us know if ASM works, I've been trying but never works. Yes, they will still charge RM1 regardless of success. On 1 note, what if we keyed in too large an amount and it fails, it seems RM1 is still debit regardless of success, correct me if wrong. |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Oct 16 2012, 03:58 PM) Agreed。 Purely luck. If you meet a good teller, he/she will try it out for you several times....Usually, i will visit bank 1-2 times in a month to try my luck...At most time, i will get RM2k-5k in a month for AS1M or ASM. But for ASW2020, no way. |

QUOTE(smsbusiness2u @ Nov 2 2012, 09:58 AM) Hi, it is worth for a try over the counter (Online for ASM, no way). I have added a few thousand in the last few months. Amount not big, but can accumulate slowly since it is a 5-6% return with principle money protected. After all, it is my 6-month contingency money, which i usually put in FD. |

QUOTE(frontierzone @ Nov 5 2012, 11:09 AM) Quite troublesome, always need to go bank and try luck. And sometimes after uplifted FD at home, then go bank said no units, then money sit at savings again. Yeah, i agreed it is troublesome. But then, that's the process, what to do. Do it regularly, you will enjoy it :-). Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the top up process... :-) Once the amount is topped up, it is forever there and enjoy a > 5% return. |

QUOTE(amalthea @ Nov 12 2012, 07:40 AM) tellers asking under table service charge from customers? i read a news few months ago that an old lady pass her saving account passbook to a friend, who work in bank as teller. The saving account got RM 100K++. The old lady asked the teller to help to top up every now and then from the saving account. That's the reason why it is difficult to top up via counter...because it always scoped out by these inside people....the news later revealed that the teller withdrawn the money from the saving account for own use instead of topping up the amanah saham on behalf.....no that is a very serious crime and you could be jailed i have never heard of that happening and you must have misunderstood malaysia is not indonesia yet we were only talking about tellers quickly taking up available units for themselves or others hmmm 3rd party who may reward them but not from YOU |

QUOTE(frontierzone @ Nov 22 2012, 08:16 AM) Normally I can gauge the way the teller speak whether got or not, like yesterday no unit, before i even ask, the teller told me, "eh susah dapat, mahu try banyak kali o" and then they give me the kind of look like they had already tried and no units kinda thing, so when I really put my book to try, "sorry, dont have". which bank & branch you go? should avoid then :-)But last time I once did try, when got units, I saw the tellers table full of passbook, and I know immediately it must be on. When I said I want to try, they ask me hw much straight away and say " take a seat ya". Then I asked her, "Wah so many books, I can leave my book here to try ah?". She gave me 'paiseh' look and said "sorry, we don't do outsiders. This is only for our staff". But I manage to look at the name on the ASNB slips thr, the name doesn't look like any of the staff there, but the surname is definitely same with some staff there. I concluded it must be their relatives. Haiz. And I saw one slip with my own eyes, its RM 7000! Damn. The units must all be sapu finish by them Added on November 22, 2012, 11:54 am QUOTE(frontierzone @ Nov 22 2012, 08:16 AM) Normally I can gauge the way the teller speak whether got or not, like yesterday no unit, before i even ask, the teller told me, "eh susah dapat, mahu try banyak kali o" and then they give me the kind of look like they had already tried and no units kinda thing, so when I really put my book to try, "sorry, dont have". that's advantage for having relative working in bank. However, we should continue trying for the top-up from time to time, because when any top-up is successful, the money is enjoying the 6+ % interest. [quote=frontierzone,Nov 28 2012, 11:46 PM]Keyed in the same information each time? Mine was only finally registered after I realized there is a 0 in front of my IC according to the deposit slip. However that IC was handwritten on my passbook according my actual IC with dashes, on Amanah slip, there is no dash but a ZERO padded in front. If I did not recheck my slip, I think I will never be registered.
