let's say you have a balance of RM10,000 in your ASB as of 30/6/2013

on 01/07/2013, you add in RM 500
on 08/07/2013, you add in RM 800
on 26/07/2013, you add in RM 200

and let's say the dividend is 8%

based on my experience and confirmation from ASB officers, your July dividend will be counted as:

JULY: lowest balance on 01/07/2013: RM 10,500 * 0.08 / 12 = RM 70.00
AUGUST: lowest balance on 01/08/2013: RM 11,500 * 0.08 / 12 = RM 76.67

hopefully that gives you a clear image on what it meant by "dividend based on the lowest balance in the month"

bonus is an entirely different thing. it is based on the lowest balance of the year x 10 years average

if he / she has bumiputra status, yes

my mom has one. it was one of the special rights for sarawakian. there's a few criteria for this, one of them is being able to converse in bahasa sarawak

Received all my official letter regarding ASB loan last week. Funny when I revised back their compulsory document, it said that payslip is needed but I don't provide any since not working yet

Anyway, after I registered and linked my ASB account to Maybank, it mention as Active. Means all system good to go now?

makes no difference bro, since both will have the same dividend payout

but concentrate on one first so you can benefit from the bonus in the long run (very minimal impact also)

i guess you should prioritize to your 1st account so you can earn more bonus..
