As what i know, bleach are able to burn off the organic waste that absorb by purigen.
if you clean them properly with running water before put into your tank, everything should be just fine.

algae scraper = still looking for it.

Ocean Free algae remover has great impact on your biological system. unless you are having BBA which is almost impossible removed by any live algae eater, do not use it.
OF kills all the algae, including beneficial bacteria in your tank. thats why some times you will face white cloudy water after dosing it.
i had tested OF with different moss, weeping moss, xmas and sub will turn brownish and died when you dose OF. but they will regenerate back after you change water.
dead algae will be consumed by your shrimps and fishes, so dont feed them while you doing this treatment

do wc 50% every week, for one whole month.
no perfume, ridset, no fogging around houses especially near your tank.
continue to put air stone to provide oxygen.
do not overfeed them. make sure they are able to finish within 5-10 minits.
they probably shocked because you did so much wc change in such short period (not recommended but only this way can safe them). if they make it one week then shouldnt be any problem. just matter of time before they start dominating your aquarium again.
cold blood animals (shrimps, fishes, snake, etc), they dont need to eat everyday. so actually we can feed them once every few days. we, human need to eat at least once per day because we need to provide body cell carbohydrate to generate heat for maintain body temperature.

HC is a disaster if you never trim them low enough.
my HC is same condition, floating everywhere when i was away for one week holiday.
now i doing second try with surgical type curved scissors, hope that it is sharp enough to give me 0.5cm thickness of HC only !

take all out and tie them again with another rocks.
most probably you will get 3times portion with current amount you shown.

yesterday i saw 3babies with 3parents.
i brought 6adult assasin snails previously. but some are dead because all stray snails been eliminated from my tank

normally we are using canister filter as planted tank because we wanted to keep co2 inside water ( co2 gas will evaporate to air once your disturb water such as aeration.)

CREE is suitable if you suddenly changed your mind to upgrade to high light plants.
in planted tank, we are all people with tangan gatal. i cant resist when there is mood to rescape. lol
however, CREE LED light has no ready made light casing in market. mostly i will try to DIY and test with calvin_ng, maybe middle of august.
will share the total cost and result after completed.

does current 11w light suits your tank?
although LED light has lower heat dissipated, but i dont think 11w light will affect much of your water temperature.
