btw, IMHO, pearling depends on your plants, ligthing and your O2 level in your water. the more saturate the o2 level in your water, the easier/faster it will pearl.
thats why you dont have instant pearling in the morning. maybe because of this, i didnt see my plant pearling. my photoperiod is the same time with my working hours.. btw, just got myself 3 SAE. this fish should be a peaceful fish right? only the flying fox quite aggressive..
