wht is the diff:-
1. brighty K
2. green brighty special lights
3. green brighty special shade
Do i need to buy all? I plan to buy STEP 2 now. roughly how much is the damage in the current market?
DO i still need to get iron bottom then?
i wonder what will happen, if:
i buy a new tank, korek the soil in my old tank...put 5element in new tank n put soil, tanam, n direct transfer all fish n plant go there w/o cycle.
what will be the impact? (p/s: im using cannister)
as kurangak said,
brighty k, special lights, special shade, they having almost same chemical substance, just different proportion. plants that grow fast needs different combination of ferts compare to slow growing plants. your light wattage and co2 bps also determines how fast your plants growth, and what mineral they need most.
i am trying to minimize usage of ADA products since they are really over pricing in malaysia. i would recommend you to go for Borneowild ferts as alternative.
Iron bottomw is for red plants only. you need it if your soil is old (3month plus) and you need to push iron bottom stick into soil nearby your red plants.
about adding old soil into new tank, yes, you would save some money, but old soil has very limited nutrients. you would need to pump more nutrient in order for plants to grow well.
after you disturb the soil, most bacteria colony is destroyed. you might face ammonia spike.

what water parameter is suitable for shrimp and fish actually?
fresh water 6.0 - 7.5ph. but this not meaning that ALL fresh water fish can survive between this range.
you need to be specify on which type of fish, where is their origin (local breed or wild caught), what is their previous water ph.
some fish or shrimps will die with slightly fluctuation of ph. thats why we prefer harder water as there would be minimal ph swing while water change.
