QUOTE(LuQEE @ Apr 27 2012, 11:21 AM) it seems that most of hair algae that occurs in my tank maybe directly caused by my marimo..their little strands got separated from the main colony and now attaching to every tank surface it can grab/latch on to making them look like an individual strand of hair algae. are you sure about this??any commnets on this? cause the growth of marimo is very very very slow.. plus the marimo's hair not that long to make them look like hair algae QUOTE(cute_miao @ Apr 27 2012, 11:24 AM) well, you did ask in KL/Selangor area |

QUOTE(furydeathcore @ May 4 2012, 11:55 AM) do we have in market led for 2ft but only got white bright led. ive seen there only white mix with blue led. any one knows?plan to buy one for low light planted tank. tq QUOTE(weijie @ May 4 2012, 11:15 AM) IMHO, LED light set does not emit full spectrum of light. there's a reason why they mix it with blue LEDif you compare white florescent and white LED, color of plants with white florescent turns out to be more natural. That is one of the reason why normally blue LED is added light set.still, i would suggest to use back T5HO since it is much more easy to replace faulty parts and cheaper price. QUOTE(Malformed @ May 4 2012, 11:55 AM) if you have a deep pocket, why not.even if it only for moss. |

Morning guys,
Need a help from you guys. Last night i set up a used 2ft tank for my new crypt tank. Only after i put all the soil and water, i realised there was a white stuff crusted on the glass. Been goggling and found that it may cause by calcium or lime (?). Any ideas how to remove it? It is safe for me to use vinegar without take out the soil? Or i need to empty out the tank 1st... Thank |

QUOTE(Malformed @ May 7 2012, 04:12 PM) Thanks for the advise, but no where do I know how to determine which should I get.. It will be for a 2.5ft tank (100litre~) for a 100litre tank, how much should the filter be pumping per hour? I assume 1litre per hour for each litre the tank holds? basic selection of filter - make sure the flowrate is at least 3-4 x your tank volume. if larger also, no harm. you can always adjust the flowrateI want to ask |
